“Delightful stay”

This was a delightful place to stay! It was so quiet, the rooms had been updated nicely. It was the best breakfast we had on our trip through Ireland. Centrally located so we could walk to the sites in town.

We absolutely loved our stay at Barr na Straide in Dingle and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. The standout part of our experience was how genuinely warm and welcoming every single staff member was. From check-in to recommendations for trad music and restaurants around town, everyone went above and beyond to make us feel at home. The location is unbeatable — right on the main drag and within walking distance of everything Dingle has to offer. Even better, they offer rare off-street parking, which was tight but incredibly appreciated and convenient. The access card system made coming and going very easy. We stayed 2 nights may 26-27, 2026 in Room 5, which was spotless, updated, and very comfortable. We happened to visit during a rare heat wave, so the room was a bit warm since there’s no AC, but that’s certainly not a fault of the inn and otherwise the stay was excellent. Despite being right in town, it was surprisingly quiet overall , we barely heard any street noise, only the occasional loud door shutting from other guests. The bar area was always clean, well-kept, and staffed, and the included breakfast each morning was very nice. Small touches really made a difference too, like the free chilled bottled water available anytime from a guest fridge. The shower also had excellent water pressure, which was a treat after long travel days. One of the biggest reasons we chose Barr na Straide midway through our Ireland trip was because they had a large-capacity, high-efficiency washer and dryer available for guests. It ended up being a huge perk. The washer was €4 and included detergent, and the dryer was another €4. We were able to do one huge load of laundry, which meant we could pack far fewer clothes for the rest of our trip. Honestly, it made a massive difference in managing luggage while traveling around Ireland. This place combines comfort, convenience, thoughtful amenities, and some of the friendliest hospitality we experienced on our entire trip. We would absolutely stay here again.

This place is an absolute gem in the heart of Dingle! Patricia and Dáithí couldn't be warmer, kinder nor more welcoming hosts. Our room was immaculately clean, and despite its convenient location in Dingle, we had the best sleep there. It is so quiet and peaceful and yet the shops, pubs and anywhere else you'd wish to go is right outside your door. This was our second stay and there's no place else we'd consider!
