We recently stayed here and the skiing was amazing. The hotel was great however Kristian our waiter was amazing! He was the most kind funny and caring person you could have asked for and was kind to us every night make sure to ask how we were engage in conversations and made us laugh. He was such a lovely guy and deserves a pay raise for all of his hard work. Great hotel and staff definitely recommend.

“Pretty close to perfect in every way”

A well deserved 5 star review . Room was a good size, with bathroom particularly well appointed . Initially we were disappointed with the view - looking on to the street above, until we realised so much of Ischgl is built on a hill, “views” are difficult. We did have 1 hour of afternoon sunshine on the balcony, after which we could adjourn to the sun terrace. The two main triumphs of this hotel are the staff and the food. ALL staff quickly made us feel “at home!” Wonderful, friendly and efficient service. Breakfast featured “the usual” fruits, yoghurt, cereals and hot & cold meats, but, in addition freshly cooked omelettes and waffles. Delicious fresh bread too. The afternoon “snacks” were the best we’ve ever seen ! At least two choices of cake PLUS a savoury dish, eg chilli or bacon wrapped sausages with rolls. Amazing and sooo tasty ! Dinner featured buffet for starter and salad . No matter how late one arrived for dinner, the food for these two courses was always plentiful. Soup delicious. Choice of 3 mains followed by sumptuous desert. A superb and well labelled cheese table to follow, if one had any room left. Food was great, but we’d particularly praise the pastry chef. Fairly close to the lift for the travelator to the gondola.Although there was no snow on the road, there were a few metres which were quite steep and required care in ski boots . Well heated and secure ski room. We d be delighted to return to this hotel !

“Ski week in a beautiful Hotel”

Our 1st time in Austria Ischgl and could not have stayed in a better hotel. Location, 1 street back from main street, less than 5mins walk to the lift that takes you down to the travellator which takes you to the gondola. Our 1st time in Austria Ischgl and could not have stayed in a better hotel. Location, 1 street back from main street, less than 5mins walk to the lift that takes you down to the travellator which takes you to the gondola. Hotel was clean, luxurious and all staff are friendly and very hospitable. Huge thank you to reception staff, Petra, Joki, Alex and Adam. Spa area very clean and lovely facility to have at then end of the day. Huge selection of food for breakfast and evening meal, thank you chef and kitchen staff. I would 100% recommend to anyone wishing to stay in Ischgl and I will be back. Thank you Doreen S

“Hotel Brigitte- I would read this first! Adjust your expectations.”

My husband and I booked this hotel for his 40th birthday. Based on the reviews and the hotel's website we thought this would be a splendid place to stay. My husband and I booked this hotel for his 40th birthday. Based on the reviews and the hotel's website we thought this would be a splendid place to stay. We do prefer to stay in more upscale service style hotels and this appeared to fit the bill. This hotel is supposed to be a 4 star. I would beg to differ. For the Americans out there... it is Hampton Inn level service with 4 star amenities. We participated in the Half board with included dinner and breakfast. Let me lay out the pros and cons: Pros *gondola is 200ft or so from the hotel *location in general was great *Breakfast is diverse *Hotel is very clean *Spa facilities are nice with several sauna's and indoor pool available *Rooms are spacious *Beds are comfortable *toilet is not in the actual bathroom (pro and con) *Plenty of storage/closet space *Heated lockers for your ski equipment *Balcony Cons *staff is shorthanded, unaccomadating , and sometimes downright rude *due to short staffing, prepare to wait.... for EVERYTHING *upon arrival heat was not on (30F outside) and did not work. It took several hours for someone to check on it. They fiddled with it but still did not work until after dinner. Someone had to do something in the basement... beats me. *Frig (supposedly a minibar) did not work. Someone was to come check in 3 times. 2 days in still does not work. *King bed= 2 twins pulled toghether *You are assigned a table. You sit at this table for every single meal. So if the table next to you happens to be a table full of children or unruly teenagers... guess what... too bad. And I would not ask for anything because asking for something really puts the staff out *cleaning service takes over the hall during the day *did I say the were rude? *Food is ok. Dinner comes with a couple of choices. Not sure if they accommodate special diets but I would guess not. *room is not inviting. We had a Deluxe suite. It was large, but uninviting, stale, cold (figuratively and physically). *There is NO coffee before 730. NONE. And don't ask because you cannot get it and this makes them grumpy when you ask. There is no coffee maker in the room and breakfast does not open until 730. Then there is a mad rush so be prepared to wait again. There is a machine that was 10 pp deep for a line. This may be normal for EU but for US I get up early, I like to read and have my coffee before I face the world. Not here. *Sauna is smallish. You are required to be in the sauna nude. No bathing suits allowed. Which I can get used to as long as I do not have a naked stranger too close to me *no cold plunge. You can have a cold bucket of water dumped on your head. Honestly I am sure I could go on... but I think that is main of it. I would probably scrap this hotel and find another one and eat the costs if there was something available. I was expecting 4 star. I got 3, maybe. If I had booked a holiday inn it would have been ok, but I feel as though I was bait and switched.
