Lovely characterful family hotel, very helpful local owners with tremendous local knowledge (family of mountain guides and photographers), great location in old part of town near the best restaurants (which they booked for us) and just a walk away from the bubble. Very clean and well maintained. Even neatly rolled up our phone chargers! And located and sent on a mobile phone left up the mountain. Been in many ski resorts, but found Bormio exceptional for skiing and cuisine.

Great location, a very short walk into town and a 10 minute walk to the ski lift not in ski boots though! The rooms are comfortable with firm beds. Great location, a very short walk into town and a 10 minute walk to the ski lift not in ski boots though! The rooms are comfortable with firm beds. Our room had a lockable wardrobe but the other 2 rooms we occupied did not. Bedroom was cleaned daily. Our shower was pretty small but the other 2 bedrooms had bigger ones and there was a hairdryer and a few toiletries, but not enough for more than a couple of days. There are no tea making facilities. There is a mini bar stocked with a few items. Breakfast is excellent with the option to have scrambled or fried eggs on request. All the usual meats, cheese, bread and cakes plus fruit, yoghurt, cereal and warmed croissants. Nice lounge area to chill in with a chess set and there is a small bar. We found the staff to be helpful. The lady at breakfast does come across as a bit frosty but she remembered our coffee order without asking every day. She does understand English but chose not to speak in English to us unlike Giovanni who is a lovely man, very chatty and friendly and took many of the amazing photographs on the walls. The only thing that would have made the room better would have been a close up mirror, and maybe a Do not disturb sign. There is free parking just across the road and we never failed to get a space. If we were to stay in Bormio again we wouldn't hesitate to stay here.

Can't estimate details but main thing for me is relation to the guests. We did not arrive because of Covid well before pandemic was announced. And owners still agreed to return our money back in full. There is hard times now in Italy - for hotel business in particular. And even under these extremely hard circumstances owners think about guests first, which means a lot. Surely appreciated and would stay there in more suitable period.
