This is a rather small, though stylish, family-style hotel. The rooms were very neat and clean, with en-suite bathrooms, comfortable beds, and daily cleaning service. Breakfast was a self-serve bar with cereals, cold cuts, croissants - basic but nice. Dinners were very nice, with a choice of three appetizers and three main courses, always selected one day in advance. The wait staff was very pleasant, and we were even able to negotiate two appetizers, with one appetizer to replace a main course, on nights when you just didn’t find any of the offered main dishes suitable/appealing. I should also mention that very often the appetizers were pretty equal to the portion of a main course, especially when pasta was served. Now some negatives, though they are minor: the ski room could be a bit bigger, and the heaters didn’t work for the first couple of nights, though strangely our boots were not dry even after they’d been fixed. Eventually, we would just have to take them up to our room and use a portable shoe heater to get them dried properly. The walk from the ski room to the lift had you carrying your equipment to the first lift for about five minutes, which isn’t anything bad in itself, though crossing the street was rather unpleasant, as the windy narrow road leading around the hotel didn’t allow for much visibility. The ground floor had a charming common room, but unfortunately the huge fireplace was not used, as it was said to be somewhat of a safety hazard. The wellness room was nothing special: a tired looking hot tub, where the water gradually got warmer the more the jets were pumped, as one cycle lasted about two minutes. A tiny wet sauna, and a lounge area with four chairs. I didn’t use the dry sauna, but I later heard that the temperature wasn’t as high as is the usual standard, though this may just be a matter of personal taste. The dry sauna also had to be paid for extra, and booked in advance. There are a few specialty shops, supermarket, drug store and clothing and sports stores in the town. Watch out for unusual opening times and long breaks in the middle of the day, which is usual for Italy in general. The local swimming pool is a five to ten minute walk, when taking the route which leads from the ski room, turning left, and can be nice for some après ski relaxation, though swimming caps are required. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel, as the comfort level and food were very good, and those to me are generally the more important aspects, especially after a day on the slopes.

“Great kitchin”

I was in Trunka Lunka last year, but till today I still remember the great service and the fabulous kitchin. It was for first time I was on active holiday, skiing, and even so I put on weight:-)

Construction work in the bathroom are of poor quality, needed reconstruction. Restaurant and kitchen do not offer anything special. Average quality, with no idea, dull taste of food. Bar offers a limited range of drinks. The offer of local wines is only average. Wellness operating hours are 7:00 to 19:00 declared. But saunas were also in the afternoon off.
