Amazing stay in this very well-run hotel. Excellent service, fine food, wonderful facilities with game rooms (including bowling) and great pools. The rooms are well thought of with lots of space to organize your stuff and clothing. Furniture is exquisite all throughout the hotel. Activities await daily for those who wish to explore the region or wish for a sporty holiday. The sense of detail Is everywhere. Above all, a 5-star rating for the staff and service. Everyone here is friendly and efficient. A place where you can really seat back and relax while everything else is being taken care of. It has been a great pleasure to stay at the Prokulus, we will definitely be back ! Keep it up !

“Ultimative Gastfreundlichkeit.”

First things first: We never considered Südtirol as a summer destination before, but thanks to Corona and cancelled flights, we decided to give it a try - got smitten, and will 100% come again and again! What amazed me the most in Prokulus was the involvement of the owner family. I do not know when they sleep - but Mr. and Mrs. Brunner are omnipresent, at the reception, int he restaurant, in the bar, just everywhere... I will never forget how Mrs. Brunner, in her evening gown (she is an eye candy!) wiping something off the floor in teh restaurant with a napkin... They remember all the details of the booking, ask how the tennis lessons of my son have been, they jump up the moment they see you standing there a bit puzzled looking for a table - and I am sorry, it is hundreds of guests there at any given night! Needless to say, the closest standard they come to is the ultimate perfection. It gets translated to the whole team. Everyone is friendly, helpful and the service is impeccable. We have a lot of good hotels in Switzerland, but most are owned as financial assets and ran by investors and employees, so we will never come to this level of hospitality with a big heart, which is still lived in this corner of the world. A few tips which I thought would be helpful: - There are 315 sunny days a year, so a chance of having a whole week of rain is pretty low. Weather was amazing, even though with a few storms in the night! You are at 535m and wind blowing through the valley, so it can get hot but never unbearable. - Tyrol, Prokulus and Sonnen Resort are interconnected by tunnels and related through ownership by members of the same family. The newly built waterpark/Aquagarden area is shared between Prokulus and Sonnenresort. For family with teens: Sonnenresort or Prokulus are much better, the new swimming area is huge and fantastic. Swim-in bar, cool slides etc. For family with small kids: Prokulus or Tyrol are better. Tyrol swimming pool, which can be accessed by Prokulus guests, is much quieter, bit smaller, but still has its own slide and "parcours" so our kids (3-9) loved it even more. - Spa treatments: I was disappointed by the quality and cancelled the last planned treatment. The ladies are very friendly, and it was generally OK, but not top of the notch. Prices are also not crazy, so I did not complain too much. - Cycling: I rented a racing bike in advance from ötzi Bike Academy next door, loved it. Did a tour with them to Stelvio Pass, absolutely stunning, super organized. I also cycled on my own around the valley and passes, the opportunities are endless. Great network of small carless roads/cycle paths. Gem for cycling. Not to mention MTB! - Tennis: we had lessons booked for the whole week for my son at nearby Tennis Academy just around the corner, coach Gerry was excellent. They had a small 3-kid group for the week and my son loved it. - Kids: very easy going with seamless check-in/check-out in kids club, and a small group of kids. They did not really follow the program as announced, but still did loads of cool things, all our kids enjoyed it. Note: if you leave kids for lunch or dinner, they will charge extra, even though food should be included it seemed to me. It was well worth for us though, as it allowed to have some (cycling/chilling) time for ourselves. The kids program included daily Kinderkino, which meant we could have a dinner in peace! Another highlight was a Happy room filled with table football, playstations, pool table, funny wall game etc. - Restaurant and food: wonderful. - Rooms: Very modern with great design. My only small complaint was not a very good ventilation (was hot, and kids room had no window to get fresh air) and not enough storage space for a family of 5. - Guests: at least 80% seem to be Swiss (school holiday time), which I bet is the easiest bunch of guests to be surrounded by. It also meant kids quickly found friends as almost everyone speaking Swiss german. Overall, great week, fully exceeded my expectations, and we are coming again.

“a fabulous stay”

In one word:fabulous!! friendly staff, excellent food,location(near Merano) and for those who like to have an active vacation there's plenty of choise(hiking,mountenbike,paraglide,swimming,...)It was our third visit to the hotel and it feels like coming home
