Staff at Hotel Am Stetteneck were very accommodating. They let us check in early, and provided us with a fan during our stay. Breakfast was great. Location was very close to all the cable cars / gondolas and close to all the restaurants.

This hotel was perfectly located and very charming. The room was excellent, large and very clean and polished. We very much enjoyed the common areas and beautiful front seating area. The staff was helpful and very friendly. We would absolutely stay here again and are already planning a trip back.

We had a lovely time at the charming Hotel Stetteneck! Ortisei was a great place for our base to explore the beauty of the local Dolomite trails and the Stetteneck was our elegant home for a week! We were a party of four -- one couple and two single adults -- and had three rooms. The rooms were modern, comfortable and cozy, decorated in an authentic Tyrolean style with updated bathroom, lighting, and windows. The balcony of our room was particularly welcoming with a comfortable chair, a small loveseat and coffee table and million dollar views! The hotel is in a perfect location -- right at the center of town. We were a little worried it might be noisy at nighttime, but the nights were quiet and we slept peacefully. THE BEST PART OF THE STETTENECK: The best thing about this hotel is the FOOD! The breakfast spread each morning was amazing: hot and fresh scrambled eggs and bacon, a selection of local meats and cheeses, fresh fruit, and beautiful fresh warm pastries. Breakfast is included in the price, but do yourself a favor and pay for the Half-Board, which entitles you to a four-course gourmet meal each evening. Part of the joy of hiking all day is knowing you can come back to a comfortable room to get cleaned up and then go downstairs to an elegantly-appointed dining room where you are welcomed by a staff that knows you and you are presented with choices of your starter and entree prepared onsite by a classically trained chef. Dinner starts with a buffet selection of salads and cheese and proceeds with your choice of two different starters and then your choice of two different entrees; vegetarian options are always available. Dessert never disappoints! There is an extensive wine list and if you don't finish your bottle the first night (does this ever happen?!), the staff will keep it for you to finish the next night. Avoiding the hassle of going out for dinner -- deciding where to go, making a reservation, waiting for service, and guessing what to order -- is one of the things that makes a stay at the Stetteneck feel so luxurious! Often after returning from our hikes and getting cleaned up, we convened in the lobby lounge or on the front porch for drinks and maybe a card game while we relaxed before dinner. The staff was always professional and friendly, often asking us about our day, and even loaned us walking sticks. Especially if you're traveling with extended family, staying at an all-inclusive hotel makes the experience much more enjoyable and when you discover a place like the Hotel Stetteneck, you've hit the jackpot! We'll be back!
