“Beautiful hotel in the most amazing place in the world”

We have stayed twice (so far) in this hotel and both visits were perfect. Wonderful spacious rooms with beautiful bathrooms. Staff were extremely helpful and the views from the rooms at the front of the hotel were to die for. We are counting down the days till we return in December

This is a clean, comfortable hotel. Two things really mark it out though. Firstly, excellent customer service. All the staff have such a kind and helpful attitude. This is a clean, comfortable hotel. Two things really mark it out though. Firstly, excellent customer service. All the staff have such a kind and helpful attitude. Nothing is too much trouble and everyone seems genuinely glad to answer questions, research train timetables or do whatever is needed. Secondly the hotel restaurant, where we had one wonderful evening meal. If it had been only up to me, it would’ve been more! Great food, great service and an attractive outside terrace to enjoy it all. The hotel is a few steps from Lake Iseo, as well as the tiny town where there are plenty of bars, cafés and restaurants. The station is a ten minute walk, giving you options to visit other towns around the lake. Although the railway line and the road both run in front of the hotel, there’s only one slow train an hour and very few cars come through. Our room was beautifully quiet. One word of caution, if you plan to stay in Pisogne, it does not have a taxi company so unless you’re traveling by car and depending on your plans, transport will need to be carefully thought out.

For exploring Lake Iseo and the Camonica Valley we strongly recommend Hotel Capovilla. The hotel is close to the centre of the old town and within easy walking distance from the railway station. We had a large bedroom that overlooked the lake and we enjoyed watching the many moods of the lake and surrounding mountains. The hotel also has an excellent restaurant and the food was 1st class. We were very impressed with the prompt and willing help we were given in retrieving a shoulder bag that had been accidentally left on the train.

“What you expect from a 3 star hotel - but no AC in any of the rooms!”

Location is right near the two train stations, which is good if you are staying in Pisogne as a travel base. Location is right near the two train stations, which is good if you are staying in Pisogne as a travel base. You can walk to many restaurants, etc. The room was a bit of a disappointment and ucomfortable in early June when the weather was hot because the hotel does NOT have air conditioning and is forbidden from installing AC, they tell us, because of environmental regulations. They do place electric fans in each room which helps somewhat, but several people in our group did not sleep well in the heat. Breakfast is average for hotels in this area, with a good basic selection of foods. Coffees are individually made at the bar for you, you have to ask for them. Truthfully, if I were to return to Pisogne, I would look for a different hotel.
