Just back from a 3 night stay for a long weekend skiing in Val Gardena and felt compelled to write a review for the hotel. Firstly, a great location with just a short walk to the main gondola up the mountain (this is important when wearing ski boots and carrying all your kit!). The rooms were lovely, incredibly clean, comfortable beds and a lovely bathroom including a rain head shower. They also provide super soft robes and towels to use in the spa which is amazing. A really nice pool (with some water jets in it as well to ease the legs) and a huge sauna and a great steam room. A good choice of food for breakfast, a mix of buffet options or a-la carte. We also ate in the hotel twice in the evening, once in the steak restaurant and once in the main restaurant. Both were superb and we all said it was one of the best steaks we've ever head. A fantastic wine list is available as well and have to mention that the service from all waiting staff and the sommelier was first class. Super friendly team on reception as well. Other than the fact I'd like a harder pillow (personal preference!!) I really couldn't fault this place in anyway. I stayed in room 214 and a friend stayed in 210. Didn't see any of the other rooms but I'm sure they'd all be of an equally high standard.

“Wonderful hotel, great staff and great design.”

The hotel was wonderful. The eye for detail and the interior design were stunning. The service is great and the rooms prefect. The swimming pool, lobby and sauna’s are a perfect addition to the great experience.

Linder Cycling Hotel is well located and works very well as a cycling hotel. The surroundings and routes are convenient for cyclists, and in that sense the location makes sense. However, as a ski hotel, the location is quite problematic. The hotel is far from the ski stations, and especially on snowy days it is very difficult to carry skis and equipment to the ski lifts. This was a significant inconvenience for our group. The most serious issue during our stay was related to hygiene. The hotel owner personally handled and arranged bread, croissants, eggs, and other breakfast items with bare hands, clearly violating basic hygiene standards. This made everyone in our group of ten people uncomfortable, and we did not want to touch or eat food that had been handled this way. Additionally, the internet connection was very poor, which made it difficult to work or even use basic online services. Overall, the hotel may be suitable for cyclists, but we would not recommend it for skiers, and hygiene standards definitely need improvement.
