“Lovely quaint hotel ”

We stayed here for a weeks skiing half term great location for skiing in Courmayeur. Last run is 1 small cobbled street away. We stayed here for a weeks skiing half term great location for skiing in Courmayeur. Last run is 1 small cobbled street away. We booked a 2 bed room with adjoining bathroom for our teenager so accommodation was great . Spotlessly cleaned everyday. Lovely staff who cannot do enough for you & fantastic owners one of whom Barbara is a pharmacist & makes her own herbal teas which are delicious. Definatlely would love to visit Hotel Dolonne again .

“Comfortable hotel in an historic building”

We stayed at the Hotel Dolonne for 5 night in June 2019, the hotel is within a 16th Century building which give the public rooms a medieval feeling with solid stone walls a spiral tower staircase and low arches. The staff are helpful and very friendly, the restaurant serve good basic Italian food which was varied, tasty and good value for money. The rooms are basic but more than adequate for a summer break or if skiing in Courmayeur. Only slight downside, there is a bar but it was not always attended and hence could not get a drink easily, but as we usually finished the wine we had with dinner on the terrace as a nightcap it was not really a big issue. No lift to the bedrooms so may be a consideration for some. The terrace overlooks the town and the mountains which was good. Overall a good hotel just outside the main village (15 minute walk in) and handy for the Dolonne ski lift in winter.

The charming historical little street in which the hotel is leads to the skilifts within minutes of walking so it is very practcial. The charming historical little street in which the hotel is leads to the skilifts within minutes of walking so it is very practcial. Theer are a couple of good restatutants within a couple of minutes walk, however there are no bars or cafes, you need to walk for 15-20 mins up and down big hills to get to the city centre and find some life. The hotel does not have coffe or tea in the rooms and nowhere to sit and have a drink in the hotel itself. The inside of the hotel is very charming, like an old castle to explore, but the rooms are very bare and need redecoration. the batjhroom was tiny. Overall a great place for ski lovers who are out on the slopes all day and only sleep at the hotel.
