“Great Location and Service”

Star Hotel Terminus has an excellent location right outside the Naples main train station at Girabaldi Square. The area is quite walkable with lots of dining options. Staff at the hotel are very friendly and helpful. They really go out of their way to answer questions.

Exceptional service, everyone i interacted with was extremely helpful and courteous. The Spaghetti with Vesuvius tomatoes was delicious and a wide variety of breakfast options. Exceptional service, everyone i interacted with was extremely helpful and courteous. The Spaghetti with Vesuvius tomatoes was delicious and a wide variety of breakfast options. The room was comfortable and well stocked. Tip: if you opt out of room service you aren't charged for any of the drinks and snacks in the room and its a good variety. Throcation was great as we took the tr a in several times and taxi pickup was easy. Would definitely stay again.

This is a nice hotel but could be so much better. It is in a great position right next door to the central station which gives easy access to the metro and trains. We wanted to visit Pompeii, Herculaneum and Sorrento, and so the location was perfect. Piazza Garibaldi is busy and chaotic, just like the rest of Naples but we never felt unsafe there and there were enough little restaurants and places to eat. We paid for a deluxe room and were pleased with what we were given - a large room on the back corner of the hotel, over a side street. We were on the 6th floor but we could still hear traffic and train noise, although it wasn’t intrusive when the windows were closed. The room was comfortable and nicely decorated. The only thing it lacked was an iron and ironing board, which was a little surprising as most of the other guests seemed to be business travellers or tour groups. And the latter is the reason for my overall scoring. When we arrived there seemed to be two tour groups staying in the hotel, and for the rest of the week there were conference groups in the hotel. The net effect was that breakfast was really not good. If we had been good tourists and not emerged from our rooms until 9am then we might not have noticed. But between 7.45 and 8.45 breakfast was chaos. There were no seats in our first day, and for the rest of the week we had to grab seats on arrival and then ask a member of staff for cutlery etc. The staff were not really able to keep on top of the demand - either for seats, or for plates, cutlery, cups or food. So a lot of time was spent waiting for items that had run out. Cups for the tea and coffee were always scarce, and food items needed constant replenishment. Whilst I absolutely understand that groups are good business for the hotel, they need to ensure that they have the capacity to deal with them. Some control of seating in the dining room might help, and a better supply of the essentials for breakfast would go a long way to improving this place. It’s a great shame as the rest of the hotel was comfortable and really convenient.
