“Sorry it's taken so long...”

A good hotel in the middle of Sant' Agata Sui due Golfi. We first stayed here in October 2024, and had to come back. The hotel gave us the same room we had the first time. Lovely views of Sant' Agata and the hills. Staying in August we thought it might be noisy... but not so! Apart from certain people. A good friendly welcome from the management and staff. Food again was amazing!! The wine 🍷 they served was very good quality! Plenty of walks, down to 'Massa Lubrense' and 'Sorrento'. This time we actually made it all the way down to 'Crappola Bay'. Well worth the trek! Booked again for this October!

This hotel is just perfect if you are looking for a relaxing holiday. It's in a lovely town with plenty bars and restaurants and easy access for the bus to Sorrento and nearby towns. This hotel is just perfect if you are looking for a relaxing holiday. It's in a lovely town with plenty bars and restaurants and easy access for the bus to Sorrento and nearby towns. The hotel is a bit dated( which we loved) but spotless and so friendly. The evening meals were all home made and delicious. You could take your bottle of wine out to sit in the lovely terrace after dinner and they had a bar if more drinks were required. The pool area was just perfect , clean and the perfect setting to relax with lemon trees and grapevines. There was also a shaded area you could sit if it was very warm. Previous comments were made that the bar was not manned but this is a very small hotel run with not many staff so they all had other duties but you only had to ring the bell and Joshua had your limoncello spritzers with you within minutes. All the staff were very friendly and so helpful and nothing was a problem to them. We will definitely be returning to Villa Fernanda as it was just perfect for us.

Hotel sold as small and friendly, aimed at peaceful, sadly again spoilt with the noise from other guests banging doors moving furniture around, a few other guests mentioned this first week we were there, it did not affect us as happening on lower floor. Guests say they come for peace and quiet, but then engage in drinking late into the night, being noisy, then heading back to room making more noise and noise when in their rooms, they then sit out on the balcony making more noise, into the next day. We did think the last few days were going to be noisy every night but it did quiet down, however even one night is one night too much with noise, as we experienced it a couple of times. We are not alone voicing these concerns. What the hotel needs to be is more assertive when it comes to controlling guests making a noise I know it can be difficult but perhaps notices placed around hotel like Premier hotels do. For those who find they do not like the location of the hotel the hotel should refer them to TUI to deal with it. Their fault they did not look up where the hotel is located and where the town of Sant Agata is actually situated. It is not in Sorrento! Do not take it out on the hotel and other guests with your behaviour, because you are not in the middle of Sorrento. The owners are extremely accommodating, we feel that they are still too accommodating and a little too laid back that their kindness and generosity gets abused. To put this in context they made a birthday cake the 3 women whose table it came to after happy birthday was sung, we waited and waited to see who was 60, and blow the candle out it was none of their birthdays, when someone asked they came up with the excuse we are all 60 this year, and one woman said she was 60 last year. Now you know why most establishments insist on checking for proof if you claim to be celebrating an occasion. We really like the hotel, food is very good we do turn up for our meals we chose and did not order at breakfast only to not show up or show up after the evening meal had ended, it is 19.00 to 21.00 just because they changed their mind, or thought they can eat when they want. This is a small family run hotel, where better quality products, freshly prepared and cooked for you. See my previous trip advisor entry from last year regarding everything else. Update on last year’s comments, couple said they did the Sorrento walk in 40 minutes down hill. Wine prices remain the same ranging from 7 euros a glass, bottle between £21 and 30 euros. Question would we come back we would like to BUT what spoils it is the inconsideration of other guests who very likely have no intention of returning ever again, who did not research and realise the hotel is not in Sorrento do not care about the noise they make especially after what we call a skin full and cannot control themselves when coming back to the room late at night. TUI still do not have a rep at the hotel, another gripe from guests and TUI booked excursions do not pick up at the hotel, that looks not to change. Another gripe. The other issue that remains from last year it continues across other hotels. People eat a full breakfast then additionally take food out from the breakfast to eat later in the day, and we are still talking substantial amounts, stuffing large amounts into a carrier bag, again something all hotels need to clamp down on. We choose again on last day, early pick up to not sit in for breakfast but arranged to take a couple of yogurts, apples to eat when we got to the airport, this works well for us. Other than that we ate breakfast each day. Another issue creeping in, is people consuming their own drinks bought from outside around the pool and lounge areas, and when a hotel tells them they cannot do this, their response is to write extremely negative comments or put in complaints. This is still a lovely friendly run hotel, with excellent food, well located in the town, where you can still glimpse Italians going about their business every day. Keep it quiet
