“Impressive place”

Impressive place. Very beautiful, and many things to do. You really get something for your money. The place is very large, so it can be difficult to find your way around at first, but you get the hang of it quickly. We had a fantastic holiday.

Superb holiday park. Really nice restaurants and bars. Beautiful clean beaches and excellent swimming pool complexes and spas. We usually stay in the bungalows but this year went for a patio villa as there were 6 of us. Can recommend both. Also a great site for camping and caravans because the facilities are so good and well maintained. We’ve been coming here every few years for ages because it’s so lovely and we’ll definitely be coming back again.

“LOVED every bit!”

We’ve already planned to return next year! And we’re a family who said they’d never do the same holiday twice. September was a lovely time to visit as weather slightly cooler at 25-27 degrees and park not too busy but still lovely. Although we did have threat of rain for a few days but luckily it never did. Our accommodation was extremely clean, albeit a bit small. There are lots of providers you can book from and they all have different type of lodges and prices so do your research. We have a toddler and found that we didn’t have to leave the site all week as there is so much to do (although we took a very easy trip to Venice which was brilliant). So many different options during the day and each area is just brilliant. We especially loved that the aqua park lido had sand so we were able to chill and sit around the pool whilst our toddler was occupied in the shallow bit of the pool playing with sand. We loved the huge inflatable / soft play / pretend play area that opens up in the evenings, it was like a child’s dream with so many different areas for kids to explore. Totally worth 8 euros. We bought breakfast bits to have in the lodge from the supermarkets on site. I guess a little pricey but nothing different than what you’d pay at convenience stores at home. No big deal as we couldn’t be bothered to go find a shop and carry all the food back to the lodge. (The site is huge and you could end up being a 15 minute walk from things, this didn’t bother us and we’re usually quite lazy!) The rest of the food onsite is absolutely brilliant and we were so shocked at the reasonable prices. Slightly cheaper than at home - even the snack bars and ice cream huts during the day reasonable - Ice cream 2 euros Aperol spritz 5 euros pizzas from about 8-10 Euros up and out of this world. Some places (i.e you go to these type places in the UK or centreparcs) just rip you off on-site but we never once felt that way. I also loved that every bar had a very high standard of cocktails which were all 7-8 euros each. Again, that’s £10 plus in the UK. All of the restaurants were brilliant, we tried them all. Our personal favourite was Il Borgo - the staff were the friendliest who just seemed like they loved their jobs! And the Burgers are huge and pasta dishes so tasty. Evening entertainment in September - mini disco every night which our daughter LOVED. There were a couple of bars who had live music on a couple of times but got extremely busy you couldn’t sit, a magic show one night, craft market one night. So not loads and loads of nightlife as such but fine if you have a family. The evening funfair looked great for slightly older kids. The site is mainly German guests - someone said around 80%. We only heard perhaps 5 other British families. We hope this is helpful for other families. Especially for those who haven’t done this type of ‘eurocamp’ holiday before. We’re usually a family who do a hotel and pool type holiday but with kids - this is just so much better. See you next year Union Lido!

We have been at Union Lido camping with family at the end of the season. So, we didn't have many expectations, we understood that a lot of restaurants, facilities, animation programs etc. won't be available. So, we just enjoyed the warm sea, the sun, the evening silence, the good prices and wide range of available pitches. And we were thankful for the fact, that some areas of both aquaparks and some bistros remained opened. Thumbs-up for the clean toilets and showers, that have been cleaned 3 times per day even at the end of season!
