great place to stay for a short trip to Venice, ideally located as its easy to get to from the airport and Venice city centre, by bus or tram as they are both just a few minutes walk away from the hotel. We arrived around 10.30 at night and the staff waited for us to arrive to show us to our room and explain about breakfast etc. The hotel is lovely family run exceptionally clean, the room was spacious with a large bathroom and a comfortable bed. Breakfast is served buffet style with lots of choice and fresh coffee made to order. From the moment we arrived until we left we were made to feel welcome, the staff were helpful polite and friendly. would reccommend to anyone. Thanks for a lovely stay

We booked this hotel for its locality to Venice. It was a lot cheaper than staying in Venice itself and the transport system here is fantastic. We got the bus from the airport which stopped outside the hotel. The room we were given was ok, but just that. Certainly no frills! The toilet was massive, it really was like being a child with your feet hanging off the floor, not very comfortable! The bed was pushed against the wall on one side which is also not very comfortable but my partner chose to sleep here! On the upside the breakfast was great! The lady working in the breakfast room was very friendly, making teas and coffees fro guests. It was a buffet layout with a toaster. We never went hungry. The reception staff were also great, going above and beyond to make sure you new where you were going and every to make us a coffee in the evening! The tram and bus stops were behind the hotel, 5 minutes walk away, 10 minutes into Venice. We bought a 3 day travel pass at the airport which we could use on all transportation including water buses, highly recommended. We would definitely stay here again but maybe pay more next time for a slightly nicer room.

I stayed two days at the Ca' dei Barcaroli in October 2019. After checking on line, I chose this hotel for the location and the reasonable rate. The internet site presented the hotel better than it actually turned out to be. However, the staff at the tiny front desk and the attendant in the breakfast room made up for the lack of charm of the place. They staff were simply awesome, helpful and super nice. The lady (name ?) in the breakfast room was lovely, and she makes a great cappuccino. There were enough breakfast items to choose from. In spite of the fact that my room was right next to the elevator, there was no issue with noise. Not far from the hotel is a shopping mall with some good stores, a coffee shop and a nice sandwich shop. In the basement is a grocery store which also sells alcoholic beverages. Not far from the mall is a nice plaza, with shops, restaurants and great gelato vendors. There is also a post office. To get to Venice from the hotel you can take bus 4 or 4L or tram T1. The stops for the bus and tram are not far from the hotel. The front desk sells 24 hour tickets for 20 Euros, they can be used as often as needed within a 24 hour period. To return from Venice look for Mestre Centro on the bus or tram sign. There is also a vending machine at the bus station. Buy a ticket for 8 Euros from the vending machine at the bus station, if you are taking the bus from the hotel to the airport. The bus stop for the airport is directly opposite the hotel, it is bus 15 and runs approximately every half hour. Very convenient! The ease of transportation into Venice and to the airport and the great staff are definitely good reasons to stay at this hotel.
