Just had a great 2 nights here (July 2020) a beautiful old property, we were pleased with the amount of space we had in our room. AC worked fine, it was very unique and quirky to have boats chug past on the canal outside at eye level from our room! Only encountered 2 staff members, and saw no other guests at all. Staff were pleasant and efficient, with good English. Check in was a breeze. Would happily return, and wish everyone in Venice a prompt return to normality of tourism in this incredible city.

Staying in Venice during the November 2019 flooding was more a challenge for the residents than for the visitors. We just got our Wellies and explored the city under water. The staff though had to cope with the infamous water all over the ground floor of the building during 5 hours of the three days of extreme flooding in November 2019. And what an astounding job they did! I cannot imagine the amount of cleaners and elbow crease needed to bring back the sparkle of this ancient house every afternoon, but by tea time the place looked like nothing had happend! The staff are very friendly and helpful, the rooms are spacious, authentic and you feel for the few days of your travel like you are part of the community. No pushy tourists, shouting guides there, but the locals going about their business. And the routes into town give you the impression of enacting the travels of Marco Polo... A perfect break despite the Aqua Alta V+R from Manchester, UK

I stayed here with 3 families, the staff were amazing, rooms were spotless and private. our room was a 3 bed, living space was massive. Self contained kitchen on the small side but ample for our needs, i loved how the fresh fruit and veg stall was outside the entrance. We had a boat drop us at the back door, felt like the cloonies!

“How beautiful”

I am astonished at the hotel and how wonderful it is. I emailed the staff to gather information and every time I was treated amazingly. I am astonished at the hotel and how wonderful it is. I emailed the staff to gather information and every time I was treated amazingly. Upon check in my boyfriend and I were taken back at how it seemed, they staff were very lovely as he marked out on the gifted map where food and shops are for us. Our room was gorgeous, 103 if you need to request! Room service and constant conversations between all staff were lovely. My few notes: There is a bar nearby which was loud on the Saturday night but with ear plugs we couldn't hear them. (Not an issue with the hotel itself) There was a wedding one day which we almost walked into! It might have been nice for those involved to have the staff notify other residents just to we didn't do what I did! My tips! Square is like a five minute walk! I have a public trip on my page filled with amazing bars and restaurants that were close by too!
