“Couldn't recommend this hotel enough!!!”

Couldn't recommend this hotel enough! 5* reviews from us. We stayed there for 3 nights, got there about 1.15pm and they luckily let us check in 2 hours early! Couldn't recommend this hotel enough! 5* reviews from us. We stayed there for 3 nights, got there about 1.15pm and they luckily let us check in 2 hours early! Their customer service is immaculate; nothing is too big of an ask. Comfy bed, tv, and clean shower/bath. Cleaners came in every day whilst we were out to make the bed, provide fresh towels and even gave the room a general tidy. Every single one of the staff we encountered at reception was so polite and went above and beyond. They advised us on public transport routes in depth and let us buy tickets there (cash only). We had one man who gave us so many recommendations on Venice and even offered us an umbrella as it was raining. We had breakfast included; lots of vegetarian options and yummy food. We left at 4am and they even offered to make us up a breakfast bag for that morning to take with us. They pre-booked a taxi for us for our flight back as they said this was the most reliable option. I truly cannot fault this hotel or its staff, hands down the best customer service I have ever received in a hotel (even the high end ones).

“Nice stay”

We stayed here for 3 nights as part of a package holiday. When we arrived we were met by a lovely guy on reception. He was very helpful, told us the restaurant is not open on a Monday night. We stayed here for 3 nights as part of a package holiday. When we arrived we were met by a lovely guy on reception. He was very helpful, told us the restaurant is not open on a Monday night. Fine as who wants to eat in the restaurant when you have Venice round the corner. No offence to them. The room was a decent size, the bed was alright however the rooms are so hot you can’t imagine. Quite a bit of noise on a morning when the bins are being emptied. This is at like 5am, 6am, 7am and you have to have the window open as it’s so warm. Overall easy to get into Venice from, we stayed here as were travelling around and used the train station at Mestre. Breakfast was really nice and can’t complain, used a lot by coach holidays. Breakfast between 7-8 is manic, however after 8 is perfect. Overall can’t fault the hotel, was really nice and comfortable.

The initial moments seemed to fulfil the promises: The hotel was easy to find by car, right on the main road (SR14), and it has sufficient free parking. The staff were courteous and helpful. It's also located a 5-minute walk from the T1 tram to Venice. However, there were certain disadvantages, most notably the bed that creaked very much with almost every movement and made our nights miserable! It looked big but it was actually made of 2 adjacent beds with a single sheet. The hotel is medium in size and the building has 2 small elevators apart from each other. Our room was also medium in size, and the bathroom had a bath and also a bidet. The door to the bathroom could not be closed (I'm not talking about locked)! The bath faucet was marked the wrong way (you had to tune it to the cold side to get hot water). At some point (not always) it kept switching by itself between mild and very hot water during the shower. We didn't order breakfast, so I can't tell about the hotel's restaurant etc. There was some occasional noise at night from the road outside, but as I noted, the main problem was the creaking bed.

I really do have completely mixed feelings about this hotel. First off, my experience with the staff on the desk was nothing short of great, so helpful and explained about the public transport routes, especially with the trams not currently functioning and having buses instead. My room was a good size and looked great on first appearance, however there were scuffs on the paintwork, chips out of the furniture and black mould in the shower. My first night I barely slept as the room was so hot and the aircon made no difference at all, and was unable to open the window due to the noise from the motorway. The next night was better after leaving the window open for a couple of hours before going to sleep. The breakfast area can get very busy in the morning and the tables were not particularly well laid out. I was able to have some food but was disappointed with the "hot" options - the eggs were very cold and the sausages and beans didn't look their best. I would consider visiting again, but only if there are some changes made. Thank you to the kind staff who really helped lift the hotel overall for me.
