Just outside the hustle and bustle but within easy reach of everything. We took the Orange Line Aliguna water bus from the airport and this was the last stop so about 1hr 20mins but it didn't seem that long. The stop, dock S. Maria del Giglio is literally 50 yds straight down a narrow alleyway to the hotel. Reception staff were friendly and helpful on arrival. Helped take our bags up to our room which was basic, but very clean. We found the pillows on the bed much too hard on the first night but noticed there were flatter ones on top of the wardrobe so much better. Bathroom tiny, and the shower setup a bit strange but sort of does the job. There were 2 bottles of water in the fridge which were complimentary but going forward, €1,50 to replace. Wifi reception was good. Our room overlooked the courtyard so could be quite noisy early morning but was quiet at night. Breakfast is served in the bar area up until 1030am, continental style but there were also scrambled eggs and crispy bacon - all self service. If you don't want the filter coffee, they will happily make you a nice cappuccino, just ask the staff. They do not serve any other food throughout the day but the bar opens at 6pm until midnight for cocktails etc. Quite lively and seems to also attract the locals too. There is a restaurant next door in the courtyard which we didn't use as there is endless choice but could be handy. We walked everywhere as there is no other real option in Venice haha but suggest using Google maps as this was a godsend. About 10 minutes to St Marks Square, 20 to Rialto bridge (cheaper over there) and if you like designer shops, there is an impressive walk with Chanel, YSL, Gucci, Armani, LV on the doorstep. Very pretty when lit up at night. Staff were happy to keep our bags on the last day as we had a late flight and no extra charge. All in all, a great location, felt safe , comfortable and authentic feeling. Would definitely use again if we return. P.S. highly suggest using Get Your Guide to source local trips. They have been faultless on two holidays now and use all the local sources and very reasonable.

“Good place to setup shop. access from the main canal is close.”

Great location. Water taxi access right from the lobby. Concierge was very helpful and they had umbrellas for us since it rained the whole time. lots of restaurants close to the hotel. Rooms were clean and well maintained. Bring a good pair of boots with you, its wet ;-)

The hotel was in a good location. Staff was minimally helpful, at times they looked annoyed/disinterested in going the extra mile when asking for suggestions. The hotel was in a good location. Staff was minimally helpful, at times they looked annoyed/disinterested in going the extra mile when asking for suggestions. The shower was terrible as more water made it out the shower than inside and almost impossibly tiny. No air conditioning and it was very warm. Good breakfast for Italy. The hotel meets your basic needs but not a place I would return to.
