I stayed at Albergo Etico Roma for 5 nights (with breakfast). The hotel excedeed my expectations. The room was comfortable, cozy, nice, colorful and lovely for two persons. It was equipped almost with everything: slippers, coffee, tea, sugar, kettle, shampoo, shower gel, bath hat, shoe cleaneser and etc. It was my birthday and the staff sent me a birthday gift - Happy Birthday Balloon, letter and handmade cookies. They were really attentive and helpful. The breakfast was the same every day, but it was exceptionally delicious - various breads, crumbled eggs, mozzarella, ham, fruits, vegetables, juices, cakes and etc. (everything that you wish for good breakfast). The hotel has small beautiful garden, where you can sit, smoke and drink coffee. The hotel is near Piazza del Popolo - you have to walk for about 7 minutes to get there. It is also close to Metro Station Flaminio, if you wish to use public transport to get to the sightseeings. From the hotel you have to walk about 25-27 minutes to get to the Trevi fountain (or you can use public transports, like Metro). So if you prefer walking to the landmarks, to my mind, it is close to the city center. The hotel's neighbourhood is really quite - there was no noise, so you could sleep without any disturb. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. There was enough place for your stuff in the wardrobe. Accordingly, if you are looking for a stay in Rome, where you can have delicious breakfast, clean rooms, attentive staff, nearness to the landmarks and lovely atmosphere, I highly recommend Albergo Etico Roma 💚🤍❤️

Helpful staff in a useful location near Piazza del Poppolo. Clean and comfortable. Aequate breakfast. Thin walls and windows. Had to switch rooms from one room labelled accessible to another and the rest of the review will detail that. I use a wheelchair, especially in bathrooms to avoid slips on wet floors. Front desk is elevator-down from the street, rooms then elevator-up like anywhere. #108, where we started, was a lovely room. Spacious, it even had a sequestered sitting area. What it did not have was a roll-in shower. The bathroom is big and the shower was large, but wheelchair entry is blocked by a large glass panel on one side and impeded somewhat by the toilet on the other. After a night we moved to #218, the other room graded as accessible. The room felt smaller on the whole (not sure if it actually is) but there was no barrier to the shower. Rest of the stay went without incident. Friends had dinner at the restaurant thr first night. They were disappinted so that warded us off.

I stayed for a week in this hotel with my partner. The staff are absolutely lovely, willing to help us throughout the entire trip. We had gotten lost at one point outside of Rome and o called the hotel and he gave me some taxis to call as well as directing me to the nearest metro station to where we were, this enabled us to find our way back very easily. The room was lovely and clean, the staff cleaned it every day. The breakfast was not great however it didn’t really affect the trip very much. The building is in the perfect location meaning you can easily walk into the town and across the river to get wherever you need to go. I would say basically everything is roughly a 20 minute walk away which in Rome is practically a 2 minute walk. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is wanting to stay in Rome, whether it be for two nights or seven.

I have mixed feelings about this place. I stayed here for a few days, but I doubt I will stay here again even though the rooms are quite big and some are quiet if they're not facing the road; but there's something really depressing about this hotel beginning with the staff. They are quite cold! they hardly ever say hi to you when you leave or you enter the hotel which is not always very typical of even Italians at other hotel; then you have the worst experience at the breakfast buffet in the morning which is just awful, and it's the most depressing setting you can eat in. It's staffed by people " special people" who dont know know how to interact with the guests. I found the food to be quite bad tasteless; scrambled eggs are salt; and hard boiled but cold eggs sit on top of vegetables! You have to beg them for some espresso and there is no hot milk that you can serve yourself. The bread was awful! I have not idea how that could be In Italy. But the most depressing thing for me was walking to the place right through Aurelian Walls, on dirty roads.. It is really cut off from everything. My suggestion is that you stay at a place before the end of the Aurelian Walls if you want to stay close to the city centre.
