“Lovely hotel”

Can’t say anything bad about this hotel. Great location- really close to Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain. Also as Rome is so walkable you can go just about anywhere. Air con in the rooms made the temperature bearable. Super comfy bed, although the room was a tad small it didn’t feel crowded.

This was mine and my boyfriend’s first time in Rome, we picked Hotel Caprice due to it’s closeness to different locations, like shops, places to eat and distance from attractions. We were really suprised how close everything was, within walking distance easily! The only outward flaw of this building is that you’re next to a strip club, but honestly if I’d hadn’t read the sign I wouldn’t have noticed! We didn’t hear a peep from them our whole 3 nights there and our room overlooked the road! Don’t let this put you off! The hotel decor is different in all places, the hall and downstairs could do with an update but is all clean, tidy and functional! They have a tiny lift that takes about 4 people squeezed in but all working! The rooms seem to be newly renovated and are modern, all spotlessly clean and tidy! Our tv didn’t work but we weren’t too fussy about that, they have a good WiFi connection! The breakfast was the only thing I would say avoid, unless you’re a fan of cold meats, fruit and toast! It was a decent enough continental breakfast but not to our taste! This is also held in a small room downstairs from the reception which had no windows? All the staff were fantastic during our stay, the concerige was very helpful with directions and provided us with easy to follow maps! All in all, would stay here again!

My husband and I recently returned from a four night stay at The Hotel Caprice in Rome. Great location only 10 minutes from the Spanish Steps. My husband and I recently returned from a four night stay at The Hotel Caprice in Rome. Great location only 10 minutes from the Spanish Steps. It was clean and tidy with a very friendly welcoming staff. Rooms were warm (we even opened the window to cool the room). The buffet breakfast was very good and overall it was a great value hotel. The hotel was next door to a lap dancing club but we were not disturbed and there was no noise outside during the night. We would definitely consider returning to this hotel if we return to Rome. (The addition of a kettle in the room would be nice though!)

“Short stay in Rome.”

My girlfriend and I stayed at Hotel Caprice 16th-19th of July just for a short get away. The location is brilliant. It’s a 15 minute walk from Termini, there is a metro available which drops you close to the hotel but it was out of service throughout our trip but we didn’t mind the walk. We flew into Ciampino and we had to get a bus and a train to Termini but then flew out of Fiumicino and that was just a direct train from Termini. A 10 minute walk downhill to the Trevi fountain and numerous shops/restaurants, you’ll never be short on somewhere to eat. There’s also a row of lovely restaurants maybe a two minute walk from the hotel. Villa Borghese is also a 10/15 minute walk away which is an amazing big park which we walked around and picnicked in. There was a little lake which you could row a boat round for a very little amount and also the zoo is in there. One thing we were hesitant about was the lap dancing club next door causing noise but we didn’t hear a thing throughout our trip from them. We only heard one woman once shouting on the street late at night but we think she might’ve came from a neighbouring hotel that was having a roof top party that evening. The room was a good size, comfortable bed with a mini fridge, safe, hairdryer and aircon. Wifi wasn’t brilliant but it did the job most of the time, bathroom was also a good size but the shower was quite difficult to use in terms of temperature control and pressure. Aircon was brilliant and the rooms were made up daily, there wasn’t a lot of room to put your clothes so we just lived out of our cases as we weren’t there too long. Our main problem with staying here was that we were on the 4th floor along a small corridor way next to 4 large cupboard doors that we’re assuming to be the cleaning cupboards, members of staff would be in and out of these cupboards up until 11pm and as early as 6/7am and they weren’t the most quiet. We heard everytime someone opened them and rummaged around. Staff were friendly enough, the man who checked us in and was on the desk every day seemed nice and always greeted us as we left/entered. The man who took our cases was very quiet and didn’t really talk other than telling us how to turn the aircon on and we didn’t really see any other members of staff. Checking in and out was easy and stress free. We would stay here again as the location is brilliant but maybe not near the cleaning cupboard.
