Currently staying here on my first visit to Rome from Oxford, and overall it’s been a very positive experience. The staff and service have been excellent—friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. The room is on the smaller side, which is understandable given the age and character of the building (something we’re used to in Oxford as well). Everything is very clean, and the in-room amenities are above average, making for a comfortable stay. There was a very minor issue with a smell from the bidet in the room, but this was handled very well by the team. We were offered a different room, and when we chose to stay, they kindly offered a bottle of wine, which was a thoughtful gesture and resolved the situation nicely. The location is fantastic for exploring the city, with key sights easily accessible. Breakfast is concise but good quality, and the host is particularly friendly—deserving of a special mention for his warm service. The only slight downside has been the firmness of the mattress—it’s quite solid, which has affected sleep a little. Overall, I’d still happily recommend this hotel for its excellent service, cleanliness, and great location.

“Three night stay.”

Double room overlooking the Main Street. Room very small and bathroom even smaller. No hot water in handbasin and plug did not work resulting In Water constantly draining out. Double room overlooking the Main Street. Room very small and bathroom even smaller. No hot water in handbasin and plug did not work resulting In Water constantly draining out. The shower head kept dropping down. Reported it at reception the next morning but nothing done about it. Air conditioning was set at 23 degrees! Far too hot in the room. When I asked if it could be altered we were informed that every room was the same. On the last night, no hot water in shower. Reported it again only to be told no one else had reported it. Not helpful! Saw the person at the front desk constantly vaping! Breakfast was good. Great local restaurants all around the hotel.

“Adequate hotel near Villa Borghese”

Single rooms are very small. Location is good if you are visiting Villa Borghese and it took me around 15 mins walk from Termini. Not a 4-star in my opinion, but a 2-3 star. Single rooms are very small. Location is good if you are visiting Villa Borghese and it took me around 15 mins walk from Termini. Not a 4-star in my opinion, but a 2-3 star. Pros: All staff I encountered were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was OK, but there was no freshly squeezed orange juice (surprising for a 4-star hotel?). Nearby to some great eateries e.g. Ristorante Pizzeria Andrea (Via Castelfidardo), Le Virtù Molisane (Via Collina), YEZI (Asian restaurant). You can walk to the main sights in around 20 - 30 mins. (Piazza Barberini, Trevi Fountain etc.) Cons: Rome was 29 degs when I was there and the aircon in the room was very poor. I barely slept due to the heat and the mattress was too firm for me. Far away from Vatican city, but I got a 492 bus direct (took 30 mins) from Via XX Settembre - just tap your credit card (1.50 Euro single ticket). I liked the area of this hotel, but I would not stay in this hotel again. I would find one with better air con and more comfortable beds.
