The hotel is very central and close to lots of the sites, bars, shops and restaurants. It’s on a busy road with a bus stop right outside so that might put some people off but didn’t bother us. The staff were great, very friendly and helpful. The room was nice, not the biggest but big enough for what we needed. The decor was quite quirky, lots of wood and old fashioned but not in a bad way so don’t expect a modern look. In the room was a large bed for two, a large wardrobe with a safe inside (free to use). A TV on the wall, a kettle with tea and coffee and a minibar also supplied. The bathroom was en-suite with a shower and hairdryer. We were at the front of the hotel which could be noisy at times as it’s on the road but that didn’t spoil our stay. There is air-con in the room which was nice as it was hot outside so made the room cool. We didn’t have breakfast there so can’t comment on that. There isn’t an iron in the room but if you ask they will give you one with a small ironing board. If I was being picky there could be extra plugs in the room, there wasn’t one near the kettle so you had to boil it next to the bed. The room was cleaned every day with new bedding and towels which was appreciated. There is a lift in the hotel too however it’s tiny!! All in all it was a nice hotel and I would recommend.

We are currently staying at this hotel. While it has an “old world” feeling, it is well kept and maintained, comfortable, and in very close walking distance to the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, and Piazza Navona. There is a small convenience store right next door and a Carrefour grocery store is close by. There are numerous restaurants to choose from if you do not want to walk far. The Argentina bus stop is right outside the front door. Bathrooms are large and clean with hot water and good shower pressure. Beds are made and fresh towels are provided daily. Mini fridge is restocked daily as well. Breakfast in the “basement” area is excellent with a range of hot foods, meats, cheeses, grilled vegetables, pastries, breads, cereal, and yogurt, as well as a coffee machine that makes cappuccinos, lattes, Americanos, tea, hot milk, etc. The service staff are very attentive and regularly attending to restocking and cleaning as you dine. My only complaint is that our air conditioning did not seem to be working the first two days of our stay. Mind you, we are here during a major heatwave. I had to speak to three different staff over the course of 2.5 days to get the issue resolved. The first staff told me that the temperature in our room seemed normal and that the thermostat was set as low as was permitted. The second staff changed the setting (done from their computer system) and assured me that it would be fine. The third staff, after affirming that the room temperature was NOT the same as our travel companions room temps, sent a service technician right away who found that air filters were dirty and certain components needed to be cleaned and vacuumed. Once they did this (within an hour of my last report to the front desk), the problem was fixed! The temperature in the room went down from an estimated 78 degrees Fahrenheit to what now feels like 70 degrees. So I am appreciative of having the A/C serviced so promptly. I only wished they had realized that there was indeed a problem and that it was not my imagination. I would recommend this establishment to any traveler who is looking for a good accommodation at a good value with excellent proximity to many local attractions. There’s a lot of really good points about this hotel, it’s very clean, in an amazing location and bed was super comfy. However it is extremely noisy- the walls were paper thin, we could hear full conversations of anyone walking past our room, and the noise of the lift was really loud too as we were right next to it. But the noise of the street was the worst and frequently interrupted sleep. I had emailed prior to our stay requesting an inside facing room as previous reviews suggested this for noise reduction. They replied that my request had been noted but upon arrival we were given a street facing room anyway. I asked if it would be possible to change after a couple of nights trying as it was so loud but I was told a change was not possible as the room type we booked is only available street facing. This was disappointing as I do not understand why no one told me this when I emailed two months prior. Hopefully the hotel can implement better sound-proofing and then it will be great.
