I recently stayed at this hotel, and it really is a little hidden gem. It's near the station but a nice enough distance from it (maybe around a 12 min walk). It's on a wide street with some shops, restaurants, and a supermarket nearby. It's secure behind large wooden doors and a courtyard. What stood out with this hotel was the friendliness of the hosts, both on my arrival and checkout. I didn't get either of their names but I believe they were the owners. There's a welcome area in reception with snacks, coffee etc. I had a single room, perfectly adequate. Bed was bigger than a single, like a small doubleabd very comfortable. Bathroom was recently renovated, and no issue with hot water for shower. Breakfast was perfect - bread, cheese, fruit, gorgeous coffee!! I am going back to Rome in a few months and I'll look to stay here again. And it's not often I do that with hotels.

The hotel is located in a lovely old building, when arriving you need to be buzzed through two gates. The reception staff were great. Friendly, helpful and provides a detailed rubdown on the property and the keys. The room was large, with a comfortable bed, coffee-making facilities, good wifi and very clean. Breakfast was good with good choices and freshly made coffee. I loved the location, and their recommendations for dinner were great.

This is lovely little hotel with a rather unique background and layout. Apparently it used to be housing for government employees when Italy reunified and then later became a dormitory for students. This explains the unique layout of the rooms. It’s also part of a larger building where there are other small hotels, businesses, and personal apartments. As I said, unique—but charming! I booked a double room, and it turned out to have two smaller spaces both with beds in them. I’m certainly not complaining as the beds were very comfortable, but it was a surprise. The bathroom was very large and well appointed. The breakfast that’s included is delicious with a variety of pastries, cereals, meats, cheeses, and fruit. I fell in love with the pistachio croissant! The staff are all wonderful and bent over backwards to help and offer suggestions! When they suggest Il Riposto for dinner, do it! The hotel location is also superb, very close to the major attractions and a short walk to the the main train station. We will most certainly return.

This hotel is the Italian version of the U.S.-based Motel 6. However they don’t leave the light on. After 2230 there is no hotel representatives providing front desk/security services until 0700 the following morning. The room was clean and, for most of the late evening/early morning, quiet. A hot water kettle is provided. But you were expected to reuse the paper hot beverage cups that are in the room at arrival throughout your entire stay. Similarly the hotel provides one bottle of water for each quest upon arrival. After that they charge €1 per person per night for water. They offer a free breakfast. The selections are adequate. Not impressive. But the seating area can’t comfortably accommodate more than six adults at one time. Most noticeable and disappointing was the attitude of the day-time front desk attendant. He didn’t even attempt to hide his annoyance with Americans asking even the simplest question or making the simplest request. This was in direct contrast to how other nationalities were treated with respect and pleasantries.
