We 3 nights here with another couple and we had the best 3 days. The hotel is perfect and very central and only a few minutes walk to the colosseum. The staff were incredible and very helpful. Especially those on reception. We would definitely return to this hotel again and again. The only real negative was not being able to use the roof top bar on our last night due to a private function being held up there. I feel guests from the hotel should take priority and private functions should be held in a separate area so guests can still use the facilities.

“Would absolutely stay here again”

We loved our stay at Room Mate Collection Mia. The rooms were beautiful and clean, the buffet breakfast was great with our kids — we especially loved that it lasted until noon for those early jet-lagged days. We loved our stay at Room Mate Collection Mia. The rooms were beautiful and clean, the buffet breakfast was great with our kids — we especially loved that it lasted until noon for those early jet-lagged days. The rooftop restaurant and bar was fabulous, with the servers being especially wonderful. We really appreciated the front desk folks, especially Fabio, who helped with setting up ground transportation for us upon our arrival in Rome. The location was so close to the Colosseum, but also to the train station, and was still on a quiet street. The rooms had great AC (especially helpful since we were there during a heat wave), and they cleaned and tidied our rooms every day.

“Great location, clean, well kept, nice staff.”

Clean and well kept, helpful staff and a rooftop bar. Our room was lovely and just as advertised. We were b&b and the breakfast was good with a range of cooked, cold foods and fresh fruit. “Great hotel but location is not central enough”

My family and I stayed in Room Mate Mia in 2 rooms when visiting Rome during the July heatwave; we initially stayed for 4 nights and then 2 more nights when we returned to Rome from Florence. We have previously stayed at Room Mate Giulia in Milan twice and fell in love with the Room Mate chain of hotels so we booked Mia after doing research and reading reviews. We loved our triple room that was spacious with high ceilings and a nice twin bed for our daughter. The staff, especially Massimo and Giovanni, were great and helpful; my husband lost his glasses in a taxi and they helped us track them down and get them returned from the taxi driver. The breakfast buffet was not the best but had basics, like fruits and pastries but the eggs have a distinctly olive taste from the olive oil that's used to cook them. The A/C and Wi-Fi were great throughout the hotel and provided a nice relief from the heat. My only hesitation with giving this hotel 5 stars is the location. The location combined with the heat made it impossible to stroll around and walk to major attractions, so to go to places like the Spanish steps would be $30 taxi rides each way and very slow to arrive to the hotel. The colosseum area is nearest but not central to the city or Vatican. Overall, loved the style and room in this hotel and would recommend it as a solid option in Rome.
