My partner and I stayed for one night in mid-December on a half-board basis. Unfortunately, within an hour of arriving, I slipped and suffered a nasty knock to the head. As a precaution, I was taken to the nearby hospital but thankfully recovered quickly and was discharged in the early hours. With no taxis available, my partner had to walk back to the hotel in wet conditions and, sadly, also slipped, injuring her elbows, knees and foot. The night porter was incredibly helpful, offering items from the first aid kit and making us some tea. Later that morning, the hotel manager kindly allowed us to extend our stay for another night, given the difficult start. At breakfast, the staff went out of their way to help us collect items from the buffet, as we hadn’t eaten since the previous day’s lunch. We spent a relaxing day and thoroughly enjoyed our evening meal in the restaurant – excellent choices from an extensive menu and well-priced wines by the glass. Despite the challenges, the care and kindness shown by the team turned things around. I’m truly grateful for the outstanding service and want to thank all the staff for their support during what could have been a very stressful experience.

Stayed here for two nights on a driving tour. Hotel was good overall and the room was clean and tidy and ok for two nights. Stayed here for two nights on a driving tour. Hotel was good overall and the room was clean and tidy and ok for two nights. The breakfast was good with a wide selection of everything you could want, including fruit, cereals, and the usual continental things. We had everything we wanted. Only let down was a pretty poor evening buffet for the two nights. We were part of a large party (40 people) and this wasn't what we expected in Italy. Although the food other guests had outside our party looked good.

We have stayed at Lake Garda several times in different places and had planned to stay at this hotel for one week. However, we are moving early (at additional cost). There are a few reasons for this. Firstly, the positives: The hotel is spotlessly clean and the pool lovely. There are ample sunbeds and they are fairly comfy. The room is also clean and beds comfortable. The breakfast staff are hardworking and helpful. We ate lunch at the poolside yesterday and food is brought from the main hotel and was good. However… The hotel is in need of some basic tlc. Weeds everywhere on paving, areas that look a little derelict and soulless. The pool bar is limited and needs a lick of paint! The bedrooms are decent size and clean but again, soulless. One pillow is provided per guest. We asked for another each for reading and we’re provided with them no problem but the rooms lack soft furnishings and those extras expected of a 4 star hotel. Our biggest issue has been with pool staff. The rule at the pool is to wear these itchy pool hats. Must to stop hair going in the drains? Our youngest child is autistic and we have had to repeatedly tell the staff he won’t wear one due to the material and that he struggles with them. He loves swimming and I can see him becoming stressed every time a lifeguard now comes near. The younger lifeguard understood and was great about it but the other two keep approaching our son about it and we have to get involved and explain. Todays encounter involved me repeating the situation in my very basic Italian (enough to be understood) and the guy tutting at me dismissively and shaking his head saying he must wear it and me refusing. His manner was awful. It’s hard enough for our kid without there being a niggle and scene every time he wants to swim. We don’t carry a sunflower lanyard (will prob get one now for abroad) because he isn't that overt and we can usually manage triggers and keep him calm (level 1 for those of you in the know) but he is bothered enough that wearing it will be a ‘thing’. It’s just exhausting having to continually advocate for such a simple issue when on holiday. It’s not relaxing to feel the centre of an altercation and have to state your health case continually when trying to chill by the pool. This has dampened our week here and we are leaving tomorrow for another hotel. Perhaps staff here need some training in hidden disabilities?
