This hotel had a great location, friendly staff, and a delicious breakfast. Also appreciated the welcome drink on the roof terrace. Prior to our stay, we had requested that the beds be separated (I was traveling with my adult son) and they were unwilling to accommodate that. Also, our room had no curtains and so was light at night and very light in the morning. Unfortunately, both meant that we did not sleep well.

“Lovely spacious rooms in Centro Storico”

Spacious room (for Italy) with spectacular views of the old city. This is a recently renovated old palazzo, in the heart of Mantova. Modern furnishing and very clean. Comfortable beds. We were on 4th floor, with 3 balconies(!). Bright and airy. Noisy bar across the street open 'til late. Very pleasant, helpful staff. Nice breakfast. Parking 100 meters away. The only negative is (and this seems to be a trend in newer Italian hotels) is that there are really zero amenities. Yes there is a bar of soap, and shampoo. But that's it. No tissues, one 8oz. water bottle. Empty minifridge. No coffee machine(!!!). Two paper cups, total. Trendy but inadequate lighting. There was an electric kettle, but nothing to heat up. At $250 per night, they could afford to put in a Nespresso machine. Otherwise I would have given this hotel 5 stars.

Confortable 4 * hotel in a perfect location in the very center of the old city of Mantova. Friendly reception team. Clean rooms with amenities. If you tolerate a bit of noise ask for a high floor room with view on the city. The historical center of Mantova is a spendid medieval city (as so many in Italy...), with pedestrians areas for the passegiata. Visit of the Palazzo ducale is a must.

This was a great stay in a great hotel. Maria, Celeste and Benny looked after me and sorted out problems, booked tables and hotels, served me breakfast, and gave advice. There was a short problem with the air conditioner. The rooms are quiet. The hotel is in good condition with a recent refresh, and placed right in the centre of the historic centre of Mantova. Breakfast was good and generous. The terrace on the roof has great views but it's very difficult as a resident to get a table. There is no restaurant but one is not needed given the number of osteria nearby.

Very convenient location, with two downsides: all the rooms are street-facing and can be rather noisy until 12AM, depending on the season and day of the week, then street cleaning might wake you up. Despite the hotel being 4 stars, it's best considered a 3-star. Very convenient location, with two downsides: all the rooms are street-facing and can be rather noisy until 12AM, depending on the season and day of the week, then street cleaning might wake you up. The biggest downside is that the hotel privatizes its rooftop at week-end, which is really, really bizarre. Until 12AM, you can have bass pumping into your room at nightclub level, with Reception telling you they can't do anything about it. I was luckly enough to have to come back to the hotel quite late both nights I stayed there, so the music stopped soon after and I slept well (after 1AM). But if you're looking for a relaxing experience and going to be early, run the other way. The room decoration is non-existent, but the place is clean and neat.
