Good location on a major middle-of-the-road shopping street. Think Gap/Banana Republic ("Celio"), JCPenney (OVS), and other great stores for essentials. Only 15-min walk from train station, or a 5-min Uber drive. It's on a major subway line, so convenient in that way, too. The breakfast is completely forgettable so if you want a coffee or yogurt in the morning, that's about all it's good for. (I would get a doppio espresso to-go at a local coffee bar the night before and drink it in the room the next morning to get my initial jolt.) But there are plenty of places just outside the hotel to get a good continental breakfast. There are also two major grocery stores within a 5-min walk. The hotel itself is shabby and outdated. I swear they haven't changed the decor in 40 years, and it looks like it. (It was those avocado green matchy-matchy prints on the drapes, comforter and carpet that you'd see in 1960's TV shows. Kinda cool in a way!) Carpet in room was stained but I didn't get the feel that the place was dirty. I'm a slim guy (5'8", 150 lbs) and it was a bit of a challenge to fit easily in the shower, it was so small, but it's standard for the class of hotel. Refrigerator was barely cool enough. The A/C was extremely loud so thank goodness it was cool enough to open the window. I had asked for a quiet room which was a saving grace since the street outside can get pretty loud (it settles way down at night.) I'm giving this hotel 3 stars rather than 2 because the front desk folks were great, for the location, and the price. Milan does not have enough hotels so if this is all you can find it's probably good enough, as long as the A/C works and doesn't keep you awake! Oh last thing: nearby is an awesome aperitivo bar -- basically for 11 euro I got a glass of wine and a full buffet of food. It's called Ciu's Bar.

This is a simple, small (25-room) hotel located on one of the busiest shopping streets in Milan (Corso Buenos Aires) between two subway stations (Red Line). Although it is surrounded by shops, the neighborhood is not noisy (shopping hours 10AM to 7-8PM), and you can enjoy a peaceful night's sleep (I stayed at room 306, facing the backstreet, which was very quiet). As it was not too hot, I cannot tell how efficient the air conditioning is, but the shower is good, as well as the room. Breakfast is served on the first floor from 7AM up to 10AM. It offers ham, cheese, salami, yoghurt, fruit salad, some variety of bread types and tasty coffee.

Just outside this hotel Is a Metro station just a couple of stops from the Doumo. The metro is extremely easy to use. In addition to this it is located in a main shopping street with good restaurants and bars all over the place. From the train station it's about €10 so as you can see its location is very central. The hotel itself is fairly basic but the staff and Breakfast are certainly above average The WIFI works well and there is a good lift. Only Italian TV is available Those people with an expansive waistline may find the shower cubicles somewhat small I would stay again though because of its location.
