We spent 10 amazing days in this lovely hotel. The location cannot be faulted, to sit and have breakfast feet away from the beautiful lake is absolutely fabulous. The breakfast was good and enjoyed a glass of Prosecco every morning. The restaurant staff are so pleasant and helpful and greeted us with such a warm welcome, a special shoutout to Victoria and the lovely Brazilian waitress( sorry cannot remember her name). The hotel is extremely clean in every area. Our room was very small and as mentioned in a previous review, the wardrobe was not long enough for long dresses. We have booked a lake view for next year,which are bigger rooms. The bar staff are also very pleasant and helpful and it’s lovely to sit in the outside bar and sip a drink and just soak up the wonderful lake atmosphere. Also we’d like to thank the lovely Lasissa who I emailed prior to our visit,she was extremely helpful and pleasant,a real credit to the hotel. There are plenty of restaurants and bars within a short walking distance, perfect. Looking forward to seeing you all next June.

Contrary to most of reviews here about a warm welcome- we got a rather lukewarm greeting from a young man behind the desk. Definitely no welcome drink and not a word about the hotel, or remote introductions to how things run there. We reserved a parking spot and the receptionist wasn’t impressed that we parked in the gated area, but after a short persuasion we were allowed to leave the car securely within the gated parking. Room overlooking the lake front- little tight but enough to sit and read on the balcony with the soothing noises from the boats swinging in the wind, with their little bells chiming quietly. That was soothing to a stressed brain. Room had a decent shower room, fridge with water replenished daily for free. The only thing to mention is the carpet in the room. It was visibly dirty, and once I spilled some water on the floor by the fridge, I used the bidet towel to mop up the water but when lifted the towel, there was brown matter and a lot of dirt on the towel, which was gross. Pool was lovely. You get towels provided in the room for the pool. You get a robe each as well, but unfortunately no slippers, and let’s say I did not step barefoot on that carpet after the spillage incident. Breakfast was ok, very simple. The coffee was tasty, I think everyone will find something to eat unless very fussy. Bar was a little pricy, with beer costing €7. Bar staff were not dishing out snacks, but we’ve met with our Italian friends at the bar for a drink, and immediately service and attitude changed. Snacks were brought and service with a smile happened. Malcesine is a short walk away, but just far enough to get a respite from the tourists and hustle and bustle. Ferry to Limone Sul Garda was a 2 minute walk away at €11 return, worth a trip. Two good restaurants worth mentioning: first restaurant int he corner as you walk to town, called Capri- we ate there 4-5 times was that good. Second one on the back of the hotel, by Villa Antonella, called Da Gigi- amazing. Overall, we did really enjoy our stay. You will too, just don’t expect English customer service and don’t walk barefoot in the rooms 😉😉 Hotel is 99% German occupied and focused on them. We also thought the hotel was adults only, but it’s not, however it’s usually quiet and not many kids. Missing the views already..

As a previous review states this does not live up to its four star status. Some minor adjustments feedback given to the staff whilst we were there would make a massive improvement. It cannot live off the lakeside setting forever. Several other customers said the same and made same comments. Up your game management, we were quite disappointed. The view is gorgeous but the hotel needs more than the view!!!!☹️☹️☹️
