The Palazzo was so welcoming on our first night in Puglia. The lovely at the desk recommended a restaurant and called to book a table for us. When my husband took a fall, she came quickly to our door with a first aid kit. The bed and bedding were top of the line. We very much enjoyed the great coffee machine in the mezzanine. The breakfast was over the top! It was so elegant and beautifully presented by a most professional waiter. Far above the usual hotel breakfast.

I love this hotel and have just left it. The wonderful receptionist changed our room for a shower to a bath. The breakfasts are wonderful. The views are too. Trani is a great place for a few days and my favourite place in puglia we had one meal in the restaurant which was ok and there seem to be regular large dinners there so it is popular but we liked eating in different places every day

No internet for many days, as other guests have remarked, and the main receptionist just shrugged her shoulders and rolled her eyes with a 'Cosa?' for everything that was asked of her. She must be the daughter of the owner, or related, as most businesses would not accept such poor and (bordering on) rude service from staff.

We stayed in a suite with a beautiful view of the cathedral. The Regia restaurant was excellent — great food and service, which was the highlight of our visit. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience was severely impacted by major infrastructure and service failures. The hotel advertised free WiFi throughout the property, but there was no functional WiFi anywhere — neither in our room nor in the lobby — for the entire stay. I confirmed this on four different devices: two iPhones, an iPad, and a factory-fresh LG TV that had never been connected to any network before. The network “wifi-regia” was visible but impossible to join, repeatedly showing “Unable to join the network” errors along with messages about Wi-Fi channel conflicts with nearby networks. The dark-haired receptionist confirmed the failure when she tried connecting on my phone at my insistence, yet no effective maintenance was carried out despite assurances. The next day, the blonde receptionist insisted the WiFi “was not broken” and required repeated demonstrations (including in the lobby and room) before acknowledging the issue. No resolution occurred. During a heavy storm on April 1, we asked for directions to the nearest gelato place within walking distance. We were sent outside without umbrellas (none were available at the time), only to be offered the restaurant option after returning soaked. An umbrella appeared about an hour later. The central common area was also unavailable due to a leaking roof and appeared dirty. I sent detailed feedback with six screenshots (showing the exact error messages, LG TV screen, failed connection attempts, and a lobby check) via email to info@. The reception reply was defensive, blaming the weather and defending staff actions rather than addressing the problems. This fell well below 4-star expectations, especially for a property in such a prime location. Reliable WiFi and basic practical assistance during bad weather should be standard. The defensive handling of a clear, documented complaint was particularly disappointing. I will not be returning. Future guests relying on internet access or needing support during inclement weather should be aware.
