Stayed at the Best Western Royal Santina in Rome in April 2024. Hotel is a block from the Termini train station which was convenient coming in by train. The train station is more like a shopping mall, lots of stores and restaurants on the 2nd level, so for convenience to that it's a good location. There are also many restaurants within a 5 block range of the hotel. The Hop-on Hop-off buses stop across the street as well as having a stop at the Termini station. I'd suggest paying more for the RED bus than the Green as the Red has a better route and more stops. To the hotel - we stayed in a Junior King Bed Suite on the 7th floor with a large balcony with small table and 2 chairs. Lovely view and, if you're a smoker, you can smoke on the balcony. The bed is on a platform and slightly lower than normal but was comfortable. The suite has a separate bedroom and living area separated by a frosted sliding glass door, so it's a bit private but doesn't block noise between the two rooms. There's a sleeper sofa in the living area but we didn't use it. The room is large, I believe around 300 square feet plus the balcony. There's a small mini-bar refrigerator that had room for a couple of water bottles if you want to cool them off. There's a small coffee maker but they hadn't included the cups for it, got them from the maid and they then replaced them each day. The sleeper sofa is the only place to sit in the living area and there's space for a chair or two which they should put into the room as sitting on the sofa is not comfortable as it is very long. Overall I'd say the hotel is in good shape, the junior suite was spacious, there were 2 TVs, and the air conditioning worked well. There are 2 elevators, both are "European size" meaning enough room for 4-5 people or 2 people with luggage in each elevator. We paid about $500/night (440 euros/night) which seemed reasonable for what we received.
