Had a lovely few days here with my daughter in February. Hotel was lovely and peaceful and in a central location. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. Just across the bridge were loads of restaurants and lots of little shops to browse in the evening. There was a good selection of breads, pastries, fruit and cereals at breakfast as well as bacon, scrambled eggs and mini sausages. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. If we visit again would definitely opt to come back here, 10/10.

Disclaimer:Although a travel agent, I will always review based on a traveler perspective with customer service insight as I have lived both positions for a very long time. Customer service in conjunction with my experience as a customer is what drives my repeat business and recommendations to friends, family and clients. Initially upon arrival, some would think if you have never been there, that you are in a "rough" area and for us it was no difference. However, once you walk in the doors, it is a totally different story. The hotel lobby was such a beautiful set up and the front desk was amazing for check in. Our stay was about four nights and location was close to everything. This was a mother daughter trip with my teenage daughter and we enjoyed ourselves. While there I took advantage of the rooftop bar which was amazing although it was extremely hot that day. I also used the laundry which was a slight downside as I was told that it would be ready and brought up to me in a certain time frame. After the time frame I called (but not until later that evening) and was told that it would be brought to me soon. I had to continue to check as we would be checking out the next morning (even though I made sure to ask questions to make sure I was sending it out in enough time of turn around). After checking on it a few times, there was a gentleman who began to get a bit of an attitude with me, even though I was giving ample time and not being rude to them despite the laundry being delayed well beyond what I was told multiple times for turnaround. We finally got the laundry and apparently there was a mix up and they had somehow misplaced it but it was literally soon before we checked out. Although we had the laundry issue, I would say our stay was still good and would not deter me from staying again. The rooms were nice and comfortable, although the showers are a bit dated but I believe that is what goes with the hotels history of how long it has been around, and they were clean. We were close to everything including our walking food tour (which was amazing) and so many other restaurants and things to do. The location was surrounded by various shops and a local market where you could buy anything from souvenirs, luxury clothing and items, or fresh produce. It is definitely in a place that is pumping during the day but definitely pretty quiet at night. Someone who did stay near our room was extremely loud and having a great time late at night (which I am not mad at them having fun) which could be heard through the walls and doors, so if you are someone who definitely can't deal with that, you may want to rethink staying here as the noise from the hallways can be heard easily. For us it wasn't an issue and we enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again if in the area and I would recommend to family, friends and clients when traveling.

I wavered between a three and a four for this review, as there are definitely some very good features about the hotel: the location is excellent, the breakfast is plentiful and delicious, and the courtyard is a lovely spot to relax. However, unless you are paying a very high rate for a more luxe room category the classic rooms are quite tiny and uninviting. Our shower only had scalding hot water, our tv didn’t work (not the end of the world, as we were not in Rome to watch tv..), and it had a dingy smell and depessing, dated feel to it. There was also no in-room coffee and the mini bar and bar prices were expensive, and the service was professional yet chilly. In contrast, earlier in our trip we stayed at the Hotel Diocleziano (which is not as nice or convenient a location), where although the rooms are also dated, we had a friendly welcome with a glass of Prosecco, a free mini bar and in room kettle with tea and coffee, and a much lower nightly rate. We were surprised by the lacklustre experience at Hotel Ponte Sisto, particularly because we booked it on the recommendation of friends who absolutely loved it - but we think they must have splurged for a very nice room, which is the way to go here I suppose.
