Just finished a weekend stay at this wonderful hotel. The grounds were beautiful - accommodation was v clean and finished to a high standard . Restaurants - food was very good. Especially the pizza truck wood fire oven Staff very helpful and friendly Big thanks to Giuseppe down at the pier who looked after us and transported us in his formula one golf buggy . Overall high recommended and will definitely return in the near future .

We had a wonderful stay overall and would happily return. Our room was lovely, with a very comfortable bed, excellent air conditioning and impeccable housekeeping throughout our stay. The luxurious marble-tiled bathroom added to the feeling of quality and comfort. The gardens are absolutely stunning truly beyond beautiful and one of the highlights of the hotel. The private garden gate providing easy walking access into Sirmione is a fantastic feature and the staff are also happy to give you a lift in a golf buggy if needed. The food was excellent. We really enjoyed dining at Mollo Restaurant, and both of the garden restaurants also served delicious food in beautiful surroundings. The swimming pool itself is lovely, although the seating area around it is quite small. That said, this wasn’t a major issue because there was never any difficulty finding a sunbed on the hotel’s private jetty down at the lake. The staff there were superb, friendly, attentive and always ensuring your sunbed was in the shade. Swimming in the lake was a real highlight. The water was beautifully clean, access from the jetty was easy although the steps were slippy and twice we watched two people slip ans fall into the water. A wire brush would remove the green slippy algae. You need water shoes for the lake. Negatives There were just a couple of negatives. The mosquitoes were quite a problem, particularly in the evenings. It would have been a lovely touch if the hotel had burned citronella, lemon, or lavender to help keep them away while we were dining or relaxing outdoors. Our only real disappointment came on our final evening. While we were having dinner, the general manager came over to chat with the couple at the next table letting them know he’d been happy to sort their issues, but completely ignored us. A simple “Good evening” or “How are you enjoying your stay?” would have taken only a moment and would have made us feel equally valued instead he returned to his table. At a hotel of this standard, where guests are paying around £1,000 per night, those small personal touches make a real and important difference. Despite this, it is a beautiful hotel with exceptional grounds, wonderful facilities, excellent food and outstanding staff in most areas. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would certainly recommend it.

Fabulous location , beautiful hotel , fabulous front office staff and support staff at breakfast ! All of them went out of the way to make us feel welcomed and happy to be staying there . It was my second visit the first one was in April where again the stay and service was exemplary! However this time we faced condescend ing attitudes and racist behaviour from the supervisor in charge of the bar during lunch service , down to the youngest girl serving us lunch . Rude behaviour , like they were doing us the biggest favour by serving us . Frankly unacceptable in this day and age !! Travelling with my 85 year old mother who was extremely upset with this uncalled for treatment with no respect to her senior age .
