Historic modernized beautiful hotel above town centre in quiet lovely quarter. Very friendly and supportive Team, excellent breakfast. Spa area and especially swimming pool recommended after long day. Vintage and modernised with good sense and taste

We had a great experience at this historical and beautifully maintained hotel. The room was spacious, the bedding very comfortable and the location perfect The owner and front staff went out of their way to assist me when I had a medical need. Highly recommend.

We stayed there for one week on a bed and breakfast basis as part of a two centre walking holiday with INGHAMS. We had booked a deluxe room with balcony, king bed or two twins together and requested a walk in shower if possible. We received this category room but we were not happy with the very small bathroom and a shower in a plastic corner unit. However after one night I went to the Front Desk and asked if we could change rooms and they were extremely helpful and we changed rooms that day to a better room in the same category but with two balconies and a much more spacious bathroom with a full walk in shower. An amazing historical hotel and furnished in that manner, with the most unique and splendid lift/elevator which is over 100 years old and even has seats inside !! The Decor and ambience of this hotel in all the rooms is beautiful, and the orchids are everywhere and are really superb and so well maintained by CONRAD. The staff are all excellent and so helpful and welcoming and with excellent knowledge to assist on walks etc. They even arrange a daily free of charge vehicle to take you to start a particular walk each day, but you must pre-book. The breakfast was good each day with a buffet or on order a variety of egg dishes. Again the room beautifully decorated and with a unique orange crushing machine to supply fresh orange juice. The sleep quality very good. The location of the Hotel excellent to the town and also for the free bus services with the Pass provided by the Hotel. The Hotel swimming pool, public rooms, gardens excellent. Surprisingly the Hotel does not provide coffee/tea facilities in the room. This is a pity and should not be the case for a Hotel of this category. They do provide complimentary cakes in the lounge but the self service coffee/tea machine was not working. The Front Desk was always at hand though to serve us with coffee or tea in the lounge but we were surprised to find at the end of the week that we were charged 39 Euros for these, when we thought it was complimentary due to the machine being out of order and no facility in our room. It seems only the cakes are complimentary. It would also be good if we could sit outside for breakfast in the lovely garden seating area. You can but it is not convenient to the breakfast room where the food is laid out. These are only small points and I would still recommend this hotel if you are looking for bed and breakfast, or their sister hotel MIGNON which is nearby, and is a 5 star rated hotel with very modern facilities, but more expensive. You can dine there in the evening though if you wish. We did like though the 'ambience' of our hotel as a preference.

“Beautiful old hotel with great service”

Quaint and beautiful old hotel in a residential area 15 mins from Merano centre. The rooms are a good size and clean and hotel facilities are very good. Quaint and beautiful old hotel in a residential area 15 mins from Merano centre. The rooms are a good size and clean and hotel facilities are very good. The staff were excellent, and a special mention for housekeeping who were very thorough and efficient. Breakfasts were superb, with everything you could imagine for a fresh continental, including fizz! The one downside was, that because the rooms do not have air conditioning, we needed to keep the windows open as it was so hot. This meant that noise was an issue quite late into the night, and early morning (particularly from the many motorbikes using the nearby road).
