“Great location, fantastic staff, clean facilities”

We stayed at this hotel for a week as a family of four. The photos we saw on booking didn’t really do the hotel justice and it was better in real life than expected. We had a one bedroomed apartment with beds in the living/dining/kitchenette area for the kids with a large balcony with a great view out towards the mountains and a side glimpse of Lake Garda. The hotel is very well placed for restaurants, less than a five minute walk to the beachfront, and the bus stops are outside. Across the street is also a bicycle hire shop and a fantastic cafe literally next door. There is a co-op about 100 metres away where you can get all of the basic supplies you need although we found it quite busy and a tad chaotic there at times as the aisles are narrow and poorly laid out. There is a Lidl around half a mile up the road if you wanted a wider range of food. The pool at the hotel was lovely and clean and there were always sun loungers available. The only downside to the room for us was that there was no kettle and the one pan you are provided with is rather large and cumbersome to boil for just two small cups of tea (no pouring spout either which would have made that difficult) and there was no comfortable seating as the beds were made up in that area. Had to ask for loo roll a couple of times as it wasn’t replenished when the room was made up but the staff were lovely and happy to accommodate. No toaster or microwave facilities so any cooking is on the two hob rings you get as part of the kitchenette, Wi-Fi is also not very strong. These are only a few points that would have made the room better for us but overall the positives outweigh any negatives, we would stay here again and would recommend to others.

Hotel is an excellent location right in the centre of Torbole, large coop supermarket practically next door, and bus stop right outside the hotel , first stop on the transfer which took about 1 hour 10mins ish, if you like water sports this is the town to come to, we were a family of 4 ,two adults two children and we loved going to the beach to do paddle boarding and kayaking both 17 euros each for 1 hour. Plenty of restaurants outside the hotel and only a short journey 5-10mins on the bus to Riva which is lovely lots more choice for restaurants and shops there. Ferry port 10min walk so you can easily venture out to different parts of the lake. Hotel was very dated in need of a major refurbishment, BUT was very clean, the maids cleaned our room every day and towels replaced every couple days, no air con in our room, it did get quite warm in the evening but not too hot. Swimming pool my kids enjoyed it was clean and tidy.

OK, only a maximum 3-star hotel. Rooms are basic, and the food is average but nice. Rooms have no tea/coffee making facilities. Beds are hard, and a twin is made up of two singles put together. The shower is tiny. If you are of average to large build, you will have very little space. There is a very serious slip issue as there is no non-slip surface or mat in the shower. You will have to use a small towel. Complimentary bathroom goods are a very bare minimum. There are no USB charging facilities, and even if you have a standard UK/EU plug-in adaptor,it won't fit because they have put light switches adjacent to the socket. You will need a Safeline sl1103 3 pin adaptor, which has a slim connection plug-in. Rooms do have a safe and the holtel has a lift and a swimming pool. There is a COOP very close by, only a two minute walk and a Lidl about 15 minute walk. The scenery is outstanding. Thank you to the lovely Michelle for being an amazing reception hostess and to the very attentive Ben in the restaurant. Everyone was so friendly and we had a great time.
