We spent our 4 nights in Tuscany at this beautiful hotel. We were upgraded to a Junior Suite which was located in a separate building that had 4 ground floor units which was very convenient as parking was adjacent. Room had a niced fridge and coffee maker. Included breakfast buffet was well presented and we could also order hot items. Dinner at restuarant was very good but a linited menu. This hotel was our base as we visted Greve In Chianti ( a long drive but worth a visit to Viticcio Winery), Montepulciano, Pienza, and Cortona. Staff very helpul in explaining how parking worked in these small villages. Would definitely stay at this hotel again!

We were amazed as soon as we got to the accomodation as we were warmly welcomed by front desk staff and we really enjoyed her thoughtful tour, background on the property and travel suggestions we got upon arrival. They also helped us take our luggage from the car to room and placed very neatly on our room too. We were also amazed at our room and very grateful. The view from our room was amazing and the bed was so comfortable. Amenities like steamer, comfortable sofa and fridge was stylish. The property was also beautiful and aesthetic and smelt great! Breakfast also very aesthetic, filling and healthy. The spa, sauna and steam room was also very clean and classy. They had a water station and nice change room area. The staff at this property was so thoughtful, welcoming and kind. Our whole experience was beyond our expectations.

I’ve stayed in many high-end hotels across Europe, but this one easily ranks among the absolute best. Every single detail—from the grand architecture to the smallest amenities—was thoughtfully curated and flawlessly executed. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was exceptional. We were welcomed with refreshing drinks and a gorgeous platter of fresh, seasonal fruits, which immediately gave us the feeling that we were in for something special. The check-in process was smooth, warm, and professional—offering a perfect balance of efficiency and personalized attention. Our deluxe room was absolutely massive, filled with natural light and tastefully furnished with a mix of classic Tuscan style and modern luxury. One of the highlights was the huge window that opened up to an awe-inspiring panoramic view of the Tuscan countryside—rolling hills, olive groves, and cypress trees bathed in golden sunlight. Every morning we woke up to this incredible vista, and it truly never got old. The bed was incredibly comfortable, with high-quality linens and pillows that made it hard to leave each morning. The spa bathroom in our room was equally impressive—spacious, beautifully designed, and stocked with ETRO toiletries that added an extra touch of luxury. The water pressure was excellent, the tub was deep and relaxing, and everything was sparkling clean throughout our stay. The restaurant and dining rooms were another standout. The food was truly exceptional—flavorful, beautifully presented, and deeply connected to local Tuscan ingredients and traditions. And the frescoed ceilings in the dining area created a stunning, almost regal atmosphere that turned every meal into an event. The staff was knowledgeable about the wine pairings and happy to recommend dishes. The spa facilities are among the best I’ve experienced in any hotel. Spacious, elegant, and fully equipped, the spa offers a full menu of treatments, steam rooms, saunas, and tranquil relaxation areas. We also used the gym, which was clean, modern, and had everything needed for a full workout. Service throughout the hotel was exceptional. The staff were kind, respectful, and incredibly attentive—offering what I can only describe as butler-level service without ever being intrusive. Every request was met promptly, and the housekeeping staff ensured our room was spotless each day. The hotel is perfectly situated for exploring the heart of Tuscany. Within short driving distance, we visited Montepulciano, Pienza, Montalcino, and several vineyards. It’s a dream base for day trips, and yet the property is so tranquil and beautiful that returning each day felt like coming home to a private estate. Precise Tale Poggio Alla Sala doesn’t just meet expectations; it exceeds them in every way. If you’re looking for a luxurious, unforgettable Tuscan getaway that combines history, comfort, beauty, and impeccable service, this is the place. No idea why this has a low rating, must have had some issues to iron out post the refurb. Well they have certainly ironed them out this is a top 3 hotel I’ve stayed in globally behind Airelles Gordes and Grand Tritone Amalfi but not far behind. Had stayed at Como Castello Del Nero for twice the price before coming here and this is leagues ahead. Staff are professional, pools and bar service unbelievable, breakfast best I’ve ever seen and restaurant is 10/10. Sauna and spa is amazing also. One of the best hotels in the world, check the most recent reviews and ignore the older ones.
