This apartment is in the middle of everything. Absolutely everything is within a short walking distance from here. The room itself is beautiful and comfortable. The A/C worked great and was a relief after walking all day. There are plenty of restaurants, cafes etc close by and a grocery shop about 50 m from here. The staff at the host hotel ( Hotel Brunelleschi) are very helpful and will assist in taking you to the apartment on check in, don't go straight to the apartment upon arrival as all checkin is done at the host.

The one which faces the courtyard is very ok . The highlight of this apartment is the staff . They are very helpful !! We got lost and the hotel sent someone to pick us up .

“Even though perception was not reality, it became perfect during the stay”

We were two couples with tons of luggage and arrived at Hotel Brunelleschi via taxi from the train station at about noon. We were greeted at the reception by extremely friendly and efficient staff who offered us seating, water and the use of the hotel bathrooms while they checked us in. The procedure was relatively simple and quick and we were offered the services of a porter to help us with our luggage on the short walk through Piazza Signoria to the apartment building. We arrived at the door of the building sandwiched elegantly between the outdoor seating areas of restaurants on either side of the door, already awe stuck by the little we saw of Florence. Once inside the door, up a comfortable and well lit switch back staircase we came upon a door to the little vestibule that had a further two doors on either side leading beyond. The porter, unlocked the door on the right and led us to two bedrooms and their ensuites. Both had terraces over looking the Piazza, both had all basic amenities. The room on the left had a small open kitchenette between the bedroom and its bathroom. Both were smaller than I had perceived, both were dated in their furnishings, there was no washing machine and to make a cup of tea early morning one of the couples would be disturbed because one had to go through the bedroom to make a cup of tea!! The immediate saving grace was the location, the terrace, the parquet flooring, the wifi and the extremely comfortable beds (although both were singles joined in the middle). We had been told to contact Hotel Brunelleschi and been given two sheets of paper with various instructions. They would do our laundry free of charge and all we would need to do was pay for the optional ironing. I called and asked them to collect our clothes. They did and the next morning our clothes were returned hanging with plastic covers or folded individually also in clear plastic bags. The bed in the bedroom on the right was a bit uncomfortable during the first night and upon inspection we saw that two slats were broken causing the mattress to sag! Again as soon as we called the hotel they said they would send someone to fix it. By the time we returned in the evening, the slats had been replaced and the comfort had been restored. I asked for extra towels and all were replaced with fresh new ones. The service was so efficient and effortless that my initial disappoint waned. Florence has that charm. One feels so sated that by the time you return you are grateful for a hot shower, clean room and comfortable bed. We were in Florence for 4 nights and when we rolled our luggage to the hotel reception to deposit the keys they expressed concern and told us that we should have sent for a porter. Even after we checked out Hotel Brunelleschi extended their courtesy by storing our luggage overnight. Upon our return they called a taxi for us, helped us with our luggage and gave us access to their reception and bathrooms. We aim to return to Florence again and again and will opt for Art and Luxury Apartments for the location (although I imagine summer will be unbearably noisy) and familiarity. What we are always going to aim for is rooms at Hotel Brunelleschi for their excellent service and ability in making our accommodation perfect even though it was not on the hotels property!
