It is quaint and beautifully decorated. The rooms were tidy and very clean and the staff were always on hand to tend to our needs with a friendly smile.

“Lovely traditional Italian hotel”

We stayed here for a week in August and had a wonderful holiday. The hotel is traditional, very clean and comfortable with exceptionally friendly service from all the staff. We really enjoyed the nice pool area with plenty of sun loungers and shaded seating. Breakfast was simple but with a choice of meats, bread and croissants with scrambled or boiled eggs or a bowl of fruit on request. The hotel is a short and easy walk to the bustling town centre with shops and restaurants, and very close to the funicular railway to Montecatini Alto which is well worth a visit. This is a great base from which to explore this beautiful part of Tuscany and the hotel staff were exceptionally helpful in giving advice on the best places to visit.

Just returned from an absolutely fantastic time marvellous hotel.location ideal to explore. Staff are friendly nothing to much trouble. Food excellent and bar staff are really friendly. Would recommend this hotel

“Charming Montecatini hotel with lots of character”

We spent 3 nights in the Grand Hotel Du Park Et Regina in late December while traveling with a large group for a choir tour. We enjoyed our time there overall. We spent 3 nights in the Grand Hotel Du Park Et Regina in late December while traveling with a large group for a choir tour. We enjoyed our time there overall. On the plus side: (1) The staff was friendly and helpful. (2) The bar was friendly, well-stocked, inexpensive, and a great place to hang out in the evenings. (3) The hotel is quite close to many of the spas. (4) The rooms were clean and (our family had 3) quite different from each other with interesting and unique touches and fixtures. (5) The continental breakfast was very good-- in fact, we all agreed that their scrambled eggs were the best we'd had anywhere. There were a couple of things that we didn't love, which kept this review from being a 5. (1) The heat controls were outside the room and required a call to the front desk to adjust. (2) Some of our rooms had showers that were only separated from the rest of the room by a little curtain; this was awkward. (3) There is only one elevator, and it is rather slow. (Because we were in a large group, this was perhaps a bigger issue for us than it would be in other circumstances.) In addition to this, the hotel had some other quirks, including metal keys. Overall, the atmosphere of this hotel was charming and somewhat old world. We would certainly consider this hotel in a return trip to Montecatini Terme.
