Nice hotel with great location in a quiet area. Close to the cable car to Motecetini Alto Clean and nice and friendly staff

Breakfast: Great selection at breakfast, but, an option of an omelette or porridge would be nice. No need for chocolate rice crispies. Breakfast: Great selection at breakfast, but, an option of an omelette or porridge would be nice. No need for chocolate rice crispies. We ran out of granola one morning, but, we were later told that there was a supply “out back”. The fruit juice machine produces poor quality juice. Fresh fruit salad, when available was excellent. The salads for the evening meal were excellent. But, main courses while very tasty and high quality, were very low in quantity with few vegetables e.g. a bowl of vegetables per table. Some guests chose to eat dinner in other restaurants. A coffee/tea option after dessert would be nice. The price of water €2.50 per 500ml was exorbitant, including in the poorly stocked mini-bar, necessitating guests to purchase water elsewhere! A kettle with necessary requirements to make tea, or, coffee in the room would have been a great addition, since no coffee/tea is available after dinner, and is a standard expectation In hotels now, especially, 3, 4 and 5 star. Desserts were very good. Staff were very pleasant. Having to sit at the same table with the same guests is juvenile, unnecessary and too restrictive today and not fitting for a hotel as good as yours. We were very lucky with our companions at our table. Other people weren’t! Overall, though a good hotel, with cleanliness and friendly and professional staff two of the standouts

Very Disappointing Experience for a 4-Star Hotel – Hotel Michelangelo, Montecatini Terme Unfortunately, our experience at Hotel Michelangelo in Montecatini Terme did not meet the standards we would expect from a 4-star hotel. The hotel has some positives, particularly the lovely views and its good location in a pleasant neighbourhood. It is also conveniently close to a small train station, which makes it easy to travel up the hill to an area with more restaurants, which we appreciated. Some members of staff were also very lovely and welcoming, while others were simply okay. However, there were several significant downsides. The swimming pool is small, and the overall rooms are outdated and in need of renovation. In our room, some fixtures were broken, including the wall holders for the curtains, which gave a poor impression of maintenance standards. Although we had a nice view, there was no privacy between the balconies, which made it uncomfortable to sit outside. The sense of privacy was essentially missing in the balcony area. The breakfast was acceptable but nothing more than basic, and did not stand out in any way. While the barman was very friendly and helpful, the overall service at the bar was inconsistent. We also experienced an issue with the tennis court, where a large bucket/bin was placed directly in one corner of the playing area. When this was raised, both staff and management did not seem receptive to feedback or willing to acknowledge the issue, which was disappointing and gave the impression that concerns are not easily taken on board. For a hotel presented as 4-star, we expected a much higher level of attention to detail, maintenance, and customer care.
