“Good hotel, convenient location, demi-pension is so-so”

We spent 5 days at this hotel with our club. The hotel itself is fine, the location is a little bit on the outskirts of town, but it is an easy 20 minute walk. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We had the 1/2 pension which included breakfast and dinner. The breakfast was ok, but for cyclists, it would have been nice to have either muesli or oatmeal instead of cakes (even if they were homemade and tasty -not great for breakfast). Eggs and ham were also available. So all in all, good for breakfast. The dinner lacked balance: 2 nights we had pasta and then potatoes as a side for the meat, no fresh veggies. The wines were mediocre. Many people cut the red with water, which is a sign it is a little rough. So in general dinners were average.

Stayed at this hotel prior to the pick up of our Just Go motorhome. Location on an industrial estate, nowhere to walk and nowhere to eat or drink. Stayed at this hotel prior to the pick up of our Just Go motorhome. Location on an industrial estate, nowhere to walk and nowhere to eat or drink. Large PAM supermarket opposite but no pavements to walk on. The hotel is tired and is a business hotel, functional but it is not a 4 star, it is very average 2.5 stars. The pool was empty in May. The bar and breakfast were ok. There must be somewhere better to stay locally or stay in Pisa and catch an early train in?

We stayed there in April as it was the designated pickup point for the Just Go Motorhomes relocation deal. The staff were extremely obliging but overall the hotel lets them down. Room was exceptionally clean , but bed was very "firm" ( ie rock-hard). No airconditioning - I imagine it would be very hot in summer. Also, no minibar or tea/coffee facilities in room. We did go to the bar area that afternoon & the very pleasant waitress served us coffee & a drink , but we had to sit at a breakfast table. A nice lounge area to relax would definitely enhance the hotel's appear. No dinner was served that night - so we had to walk all the way into town. The hotel is situated in an industrial area , long way from the nearest restaurant/bar. Breakfast was included in the tariff - have absolutely no complaints there- continental & English options - self serve. Overall, the hotel seems to cater more for large tour groups with the dining room set up with a series of long tables , canteen style.

One member of our family stayed a few days at this hotel trying to sort out some issues with our car. Daniele was extremely helpful assisting the three other members of our family in getting rides to the train/bus station and purchasing trains tickets, two leg overnight tickets, for three people to Germany. Daniele greeted us with a big smile, sense of humour and fantastic English! Above and beyond service, thanks Daniele!
