Amazing hotel. Staff is 100%. Suite that I styled is enormous. Just need some update to keep up with competition and price paid. I can say that’s a minor thing but need something to be done soon. The Borgo (Village) is a very unique place to stay. You have the feeling to go back in time. The adjacent winery gives a special touch as well. The service is impeccable. Nicole from the front desk was very, very nice and helped us with a lot of things, where to go etc. and she convinced is to rent the red Fiat 500 and drive around vicinity. Memorable experience. “Amazing vineyard and setting”

The setting of Borgo San Felice is magnificent. Nothing beats walking along the vineyards at the property with a glass of wine in your hand and watching the sunset over the hills. The rooms are also beautiful and a lot of attention is paid to the details. The spa was most amazing, one of the best massages I’ve ever received in my life. And our wine tasting class at the property was very fun and the wines were of the best we had in Tuscany. Our dinner at the Osteria restaurant was also fabulous, However, the only drawback of our stay would be our dinner at Poggio Rosso. The menu had just changed to Greek influences two days before our arrival. Unfortunately, we really did not enjoy the dinner and it did not live up to the standard of meals in Italy. That was the only Drawback of our experience, and I would suggest to travelers to just skip that restaurant and go to Osteria on property or go somewhere nearby in town. Otherwise we had a fabulous stay and the hotel also did a good job of helping us arrange local wine tours.

This place is truly specia. A refitted old tuscan village it retains the charm and the beauty of old times with a luxury refinement and feel. Rooms are beautiful, big a very well equipped, as the bathroom. All public spaces inside and outside are really nice and well kept an the winery and tasting room is a must see. Breakfast is quite nice for Italian standard with some nice touches like the fresh butter. It falls short in terms of breads, jams (only industrial) and one or two good breakfast cakes. More local traditional products would be very welcome. Service at breakfast time is sketchy. Sometimes nice sometimes it takes ages to get your order. No everything on the menu is included which is a shame for such an expensive place. On our last day we ordered a caddie to take our luggages, since it's impossible to take them on the gravel, but it took two calls and 20 minutes of extra waiting to get the service, even though it was ordered the day before. Finally we forgot some pieces of Italian cured meats in the room's fridge. Next day I e-mailed them but got the reply that nothing was there. I insisted since we knew it had stayed there, but they denied again. It's a shame and a dark spot in an otherwise very good experience.

We had a lovely four night stay on this estate which focuses on catering to an American/Western clientele. We loved the soft bed in our prestige room which also had a welcome bottle of wine from the estate - and the housekeeping kept the room emaculate which was very much appreciated. The grounds of the estate are absolutely stunning - well done to the gardener! We also loved the spa and particularly the massages which were on par with a NYC five star hotel spa. The pool area was also nice and quiet while we were there. Also shout out to Alessandro who is pretty much always there to greet you when you arrive at the hotel/reception area and very welcoming and helpful. We had a couple of lovely dinners at the Poggio Rosso restaurant mostly thanks to staff like Ian and Enriquo (also a lovely Italian waitress who brought our dishes out the first day we ate there) - the food was good/an experience. We also ate at the Osteria twice which had fantastic food, and great service at the end of our stay (we ate there our first night and the service was very lacking/untrained, though by our fourth night it had changed 180 degrees though mostly due to more professional staff working including Enriquo and Francisco). The breakfast buffet while plentiful had some of the most laid back service in a 5 star hotel. The egg station and chef was amazing - but aside from him you had to hunt down someone to get you some coffee and tea. By the fourth breakfast the staff had improved but it was too little too late. All in all while we had another lovely stay in the Chianti region we weren't sure about the value for money from this Relais and Chateaux.
