This is a wonderful hotel only a few minutes outside of Siena and a n excellent base camp for exploring Tuscany. We did easy day trips from here to Florence, San Gimignano and, of course, Siena. On the way from FCO, we also had lunch in Porto San Stefano, which was an easy stop on the way and beautiful. The hotel is decorated in a lovely fashion with well-appointed public areas for relaxing. In warmer weather, outdoor spaces are also plentiful. The people who attended to us couldn’t have been nicer, or more professional. A special shout-out to Lorenzo at the night time reception desk who carried up our bags, made sure our laundry was done, even though it was the weekend when laundry wasn’t as automatic (I think he did it himself and had it folded in our room within a few hours), made restaurant recommendations and then dialed the one we chose and got us reservations. The bartender and server, Rodrigo, was also kind, funny and worked hard to make our dining experiences enjoyable, especially on the nights when we wanted a lighter dinner in the rooms off the bar. There’s a main restaurant with many courses available, but you can’t do that every night without keeling over, so the lighter fare was much appreciated and available earlier (6pm?), which was convenient. Margarita Pizza, seasonal vegetables, etc. The parking is free and on the left coming from Siena through a narrow gate on a curving driveway, so take it slow going in and out. The hotel entrance is a little farther down on the right. GPS is a must finding this place and getting away to other destinations, but you’ll get the hang of it quickly and it’s not far at all from Siena—a minor drive. Oh… and breakfast! Get ready to be extremely happy! Plentiful selection and a fire going in cool weather. Just a lovely place with excellent service!

I just cannot say enough about this place - MAGICAL. First off, the word luxurious doesnt even begin to describe the grounds - history, elegance and style. The staff, even better. They catered to every need we had, went above and beyond for us, planned adventures for us, helped me PROPOSE to my lady - just absolutely incredible. The food was great, the location was superb. We literally wish we were still there. I would LIVE here if that was an option. Cannot wait to go back.

“First class hotel near Siena”

First class hotel with excellent food and service. The staff were outstanding providing a first class service. We could recommend this hotel to any visitor. The hotel provides a shiutlle service to Siena or you could walk into the centre in 30 minutes.

“Ancient but good”

This is an old monastery, and the building is really old. Rather good location, but it's a bit difficult to see, where the main door is. Look for a sign of parking place, and it there (parking is on the other side of the road). Last 500 meters to the hoter is partly rather narrow road. No rechargin… more

Look for a sign of parking place, and it there (parking is on the other side of the road). Last 500 meters to the hoter is partly rather narrow road. No recharging in a parking lot. Very cozy place. Big bathroom. Both shower and a bath. Big, good bed. High ceiling. Friendly service. Rather modest breakfast, but feeling is really nice.
