It offers a quieter, more affordable base while still being incredibly well connected to Venice’s historic centre. With lots of regeneration going on too, this could be an option for you. A Stylish, Affordable Hotel Near Venice Elite Hotel Residence strikes that sweet spot between affordable luxury accommodation in Venice and practical comfort. The design is modern, clean, and welcoming which is ideal if you want a 4-star hotel in Mestre that feels relaxed but still polished. Check-in was a little busy (typical peak time), and I had a brief moment of panic when I couldn’t find my booking confirmation. But the staff handled it quickly and within minutes, we were settled into our stay. Location: One of the Best Places to Stay Near Venice If you’re researching where to stay near Venice on a budget, this location is a gem. Mestre is just a 15-minute tram ride into Venice, with tickets costing around €1.50. It’s one of the easiest and most cost-effective ways to visit Venice without staying directly in the busy tourist centre. This made it perfect for us, with full days exploring Venice, then returning to a quieter, more peaceful area in the evening. Top Floor Apartment with Balcony: A Hidden Gem We stayed in a top floor 1-bed apartment in Mestre with a private balcony, and it completely elevated the experience. Watching sunrise and sunset with a cappuccino on the balcony was a highlight of the trip. Spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully designed, it included: King-size bed, Kitchenette, Living area, Walk-in shower (great for accessibility needs),In-house safe If you’re searching for a hotel apartment near Venice for couples or friends, this setup is ideal. Clean, Modern, and Exceptionally Maintained For anyone prioritising clean hotels in Venice and Mestre, this place delivers. Everything from the apartment to shared spaces was immaculate. Fresh linens, polished floors, and a consistently high standard of housekeeping made a noticeable difference. Our housemaid was lovely and always checked if we needed anything. The decor is minimalist but warm, making it feel like a modern boutique hotel near Venice rather than a generic chain stay. Spa & Wellness: Perfect After Exploring Venice After long days walking through Venice, the hotel’s spa and wellness centre in Mestre was exactly what I needed. I booked a sports massage and facial, both were excellent. The therapist was professional and friendly, and the treatments genuinely helped me recharge. There’s also a sauna, steam room, and pool, making this a great option if you’re looking for a hotel with spa near Venice to unwind after sightseeing. There’s also a small gym for daily workouts. Dining & Breakfast: A Strong Start to the Day One quick tip: the hotel restaurant isn’t always open every evening (it was closed on Monday during our stay), so plan ahead if you want to dine in. When we did eat there, the food was fresh, simple, and full of flavour, a classic Italian done right. Breakfast, though, was a real highlight. If you’re searching for hotels in Mestre with good breakfast, this one stands out. The buffet offered a wide variety of options, including both continental and hot breakfast items. Each morning we enjoyed: Fresh pastries, Fruit, yogurts, meats, and cheeses, Hot cooked options such as eggs and bacon, Fresh juices and excellent coffee It was the perfect start to the day before heading into Venice. Friendly, Welcoming Staff The team here really added to the experience. Friendly, approachable, and always willing to help without being overbearing. It made the whole stay feel easy and comfortable, which is exactly what you want when travelling. Final Verdict: One of the Best Hotels in Mestre Near Venice If you’re looking for: Affordable hotels near Venice, Italy, 4-star hotels in Mestre, Quiet places to stay near Venice with easy transport, Apartment-style hotel accommodation near Venice Then Elite Hotel Residence is absolutely worth considering. It gave us the perfect balance: busy, beautiful days in Venice and calm, comfortable evenings away from the crowds. I’d book it again without hesitation.

“Cheap Experience, Poor Quality”

Nothing about this hotel reflects a 4-star standard. The entire experience felt cheap and disappointing. Nothing about this hotel reflects a 4-star standard. The entire experience felt cheap and disappointing. The breakfast was terrible, with low-quality food that seemed like it had been reheated from the previous day. Overall, the hotel feels like it cuts corners everywhere. It also gave the impression that neither the staff nor the guests are treated particularly well. I would strongly not recommend staying here, especially if you are expecting the quality and service of a 4-star hotel.

“Nice hotel but so loud / noisy!”

We booked an apartment for 3 people, and were allocated a room on the second floor, although I suspect all rooms are the same. There is no (zero) sound insulation between the rooms. We booked an apartment for 3 people, and were allocated a room on the second floor, although I suspect all rooms are the same. There is no (zero) sound insulation between the rooms. You can hear people talking in the other rooms, but worse, whenever the person next to you or above you uses the bathroom, you can hear the shower, taps and toilet flush. It’s awful at 6am to be woken by that. The rooms are tired, but not terrible. The bathrooms probably need a renovation. There are no USB sockets in any of the rooms. Bring your own adapters! The location is actually really good. 5 min walk to the T1 Tram Stop and then 15 mins to Venice. Trans come every 15 mins. The hotel includes a secure car park and the staff were super helpful and friendly, offering guidance on where to go in Venice. The front desk even sells tram tickets. Overall, an average experience let down by the noise. I’m sure you could find between hotels.
