“Outstanding staff and beautiful hotel.”

Just returned from a lovely weekend in Venice and could not be more pleased that we chose this hotel. The staff were fantastic, room beautiful, garden so tastefully landscaped perfect for evening cocktail or a coffee. We highly recommend this hotel and will definitely return.

We have just stayed in this hotel for the last 3 nights and couldn’t have made a better choice. We travel all over the World and have stayed at many excellent hotels, but what makes this hotel amazing is the staff. Every member of staff that we met from the moment we walked in and were greeted at the front desk were warm and friendly, professional but with a sense of humour. We also met a lot of staff, front desk team, bartender, concierge, maitre d’, chef, housekeeping, all delightful but never in an intrusive fashion, but inclusive in helping us enjoy our stay. The hotels location is ideal with easy access to canals for public and private transport and a few moments walk from the Accademia bridge for access to the centre of the city. The hotel sits on the San Trovaso canal a few metres from the 17th century gondola boatyard. There are always things to watch on the canal with the normal needs of a city’s life being met on the water, but still very quiet and peaceful. The hotel is exquisite from the reception area with its wonderful modern Murano glass chandeliers to its perfectly formed garden. The Piano Nobile has been maintained on the 1st floor with wonderful views over the garden. No dark painted modern corridor here. The room we stayed in was palatial on the 1st floor, it looked very traditional, but had been planned with guests and not architects in mind. Everything worked, windows opened, shutters closed, there were drawers in abundance to put away clothes, hanging space, safe, fridge, a constant supply of bottled water by our bed, a beautiful marble shower room - a perfectly thought out room. We had planned a lot of activities for our days in Venice, although we have been several times before. As a result we only ate in the hotels “La Bauta” restaurant on one evening. The meal was absolutely perfect. The menu was original, seasonal and difficult to choose from. The food we chose was exceptionally good, beautifully presented and delicious. The service was delightful and the young chef in charge that evening was engaging in every way. We did have breakfast every morning which was very good with fabulous local produce. We would love to stay here again.

Location was perfect, could walk everywhere, and water transport was close by. The Hotel was beautifully, tastefully decorated for Christmas. Location was perfect, could walk everywhere, and water transport was close by. The Hotel was beautifully, tastefully decorated for Christmas. Our room was wonderful, very comfortable and had everything you needed. The big plus about Hotel Nani Mocenigo Place is the staff, who are lovely, friendly and helpful; they made us feel like we were family and so welcome. Breakfast was delicious. I am sorry that we didn't eat in the restaurant in the evening, but I will next time. Thank you for making our 5-day Venice trip so special, we will never forget it. Gordon & Sarah Woodward

If i could give more than five stars i would. We travelled to Venice in December 2025 with a family of five and stayed in the Gaurana apartment in the hotel. The hotel is situated in a stunning 600 year old palace. It truly was amazing. We arrived after sunset in a water taxi and there was a stop on the canal right outside the hotel for an easy transfer. The staff could not be more hospitable. No request was too much. From our first meal where the concierge learned of my bucket list wish of trying fresh white truffles they made us a special tagliatelle dish that simply was of another world and wasnt on the menu. It didnt stop there when the children fell ill they sent up lemon honey teas and were very helpful and considerate. The breakfasts were first rate and the food delicious. Now to the staff, again i cant think of a single place ive stayed in my 50 odd years where guests were given better attention. Never. This was the best. They organised water taxis for us to leave pre dawn and arranged breakfast boxes so we didnt get hungry on our journey. I can honestly say, it was my favourite stay at a hotel, ever. Between the excellent location in Dorsolungo which was a few minutes walk from Rialto and San Marco and the fabulous furnishings, frescos and spectacular murano glass, this was a trip we will never forget. I can honestly recommend this hotel over any other in Venice. If you stay do have at least one dinner at the restaurant. We enjoyed grabbing a drink and a plate of cicciette and enjoying the passage of time just like the locals. SafetyNever felt safer in europe than in this location. We walked the alleyways at night which were relatively deserted in winter and felt secure. Walkability. Everything was within easy walking distance. The best thing was getting lost. The joy of discovery was intimately linked to inability to follow a route to our destination. The road less travelled as they say. We kept finding little piazzas everywhere with amazing architecture, food and shopping. Venice has so much to offer on foot. Food & drinks. The food at the hotel was 15/10. Breakfast was cooked to order and delicious. The dinner was one of the most spectacular meals of my life. The white truffles that they had obtained for xmas dinner were diverted to our party as we had expressed a desire to try them and they made it possible even though it was not on the menu.
