“This hotel has ruined every other hotel for me!”

Absolutely wonderful place to stay. We originally booked to stay at the Ca' Del Moro with the pool but we were told that there had been an error with the booking and so transferred to this hotel. I have to say I'm very glad we did! they took us to the other hotel. We were given the option of moving back to Ca' Del Moro after the first night but we loved Ca' del Borgo so much that we decided to stay. This trip was a surprise for our friends hen do. Everything about the hotel was perfect, the setting - next to a canal and in a square near a church. The service couldn't have been better! We were greeted by a quirky, cheerful, young Italian man who showed us to our room and throughout our stay we had Bruno explain to us about local traditions, help us out with travel, make us drinks that the locals were drinking, bring us snacks whilst sat out in the garden and generally treat us like hotel guests are meant to be treated! Fantastic service. On our last day there was a parade past the hotel and a street party at night, we had a general idea that something was going on but we weren't sure what.. Bruno knocked at our room to let us know that the parade was going past and explained all about it, which ended up in us staying at the street party rather than travelling further up the island to eat out. This ended up being the best evening we spent on the island! The room was lovely, the only downside is one of us had to sleep on a small camp bed as there was 3 of us. That wasn't too comfy but that's the only thing that was negative. Breakfast was gorgeous every morning, a good selection and we were brought ham and cheese to go with everything as well. There was a shuttle bus to the boat station every morning, which was more of a private taxi to be honest - even better! We had a delightful stay at the hotel, if I ever return to Venice Lido I will be sure to stay here again. Like I say, this hotel has ruined all other hotels for me haha!

“Amazing room, overall room for improvement”

The room was fantastic, the pics do not do it justice. The service was also perfect, we couldn't ask for more. Location was lovely, we went on a couple of lovely walks nearby, but make sure you understand where the hotel is on Lido, as it can be tricky to find the first time you go. Also the breakf… more

Location was lovely, we went on a couple of lovely walks nearby, but make sure you understand where the hotel is on Lido, as it can be tricky to find the first time you go. Also the breakfast is very limited. I wouldn't hesitate to visit again though.

The service at the Ca' del Borgo was excellent and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Bruno and Katia deserve a special mention. There was plenty of choice at breakfast and the coffee was good! Our room was spacious and comfortable. We liked the deccor of this small intimate hotel - traditional and furnished with antiques. A delightful patio area at the back with comfortable chairs/sofas and sun umbrella. Pity it rained a lot! Location was convenient for the frequent bus service into the centre of the Lido from where it is easy to take a water bus into Venice ( Mark's Square). A water bus goes straight to the Marco Polo airport (1 hour). The hotel is in a peaceful setting and a 10 minute walk to the Ca' del Moro tennis club which has a restaurant and swimming pool. Bikes available to hire from the hotel. For us, this was an ideal holiday destination - sports on hand, swimming pool and lazy options as well as easy access to sightseeing in Venice. The only slight drawback was the lack of restaurants nearby. On Mondays both restaurants close by were closed and as it was pouring with rain a 10 minute walk to the Ca' del Moro club was not attractive. Bruno came to our rescue and drove us in the mini bus to the Club and took us home again! We stayed at the hotel in May so it was not high season - in high season the hotel say they will be providing snacks and drinks. We will be returning......
