Although the hotel is one stop from Nagoya station, it is easily accessible for a good price. Other hotels so called "near" Nagoya station or Sakae near to walk a long way. This hotel is between 2 subway stations. If you exit at Fushimi Exit 10, you can take elevator to avoid carrying baggage upstairs. Convenience stores are around. You may also take Airport Bus to airport near Nagoya Kanko Hotel, very convenient. Moreover, there are lots of complimentary samples like beverage, mouth wash, shampoo, conditioner etc.

My friend and i booked this place during our quick trip to Nagoya. We were to visit Shirikawago. Instead of staying in Takayama, which is nearer from Shirikawago, my friend asked if we can go straight from Nagoya. She chose this hotel since it is near thw train station, it is. Probably 3mins walk, but you have to climb the pedestrian lane. For luggage owners, there is an elevator near exit 3. The room was pretty basic and a little bit cramped (since we have 20 and 30kgs baggaes) but we were still able to move around somehow. We were surprised that there was a pair of sleepwear when we arrived. We were wondering where the airconditioner was; they dont. It means that heat during summer time is not a problem. Well, it tends to get really cold at night. One thing though, the heater has just 3 setup: low, medium and high. Sometimes the low setup can very warm, so you have to turn it off, but the room will get cold later. To battle the cold, make sure you close the curtains. With the toiletries, you can get them from the reception, depending how much you need. Its also 20mins away from Nagoya castle and not too far from the TV tower too. For a price of around 2500 pesos per night for 2 pax, this is indeed a great deal.

We stayed two nights at this hotel, in two different Sized rooms. First, check in for the most part was easy. We booked through booking.com and didn’t have any issues. The first attendant we spoke to spoke decent English (and even a little Italian), as did most of the front desk personnel. The first night, my husband and I were in a single room. It was small. The bed was about a full size, but the room itself was big enough for the bed, the bathroom, and our suitcases. Fresh robes and slippers were available, and there was a TV, which we hooked up to the laptop to watch Netflix. The second night we upgraded to a double room with breakfast. The room itself was hardly any bigger. But clean, and for the price it wasn’t a bad stay especially if you’re only at the hotel to sleep, which we were. For an American and Italian, the breakfast was strange, and I feel like for the price, we could’ve found something a little more to our liking, but it was interesting to try at least once. Breakfast included (very) soft boiled eggs, bread for toast, miso soup, rice, salad, cucumbers, pickles radishes, pasta, and a few other things, plus coffee from a machine for 1,000 yen if you book with the room, or 1,200 if you’d like breakfast the day of. Overall, a pleasant stay, and convent to bus and subway stations. Shopping is nearby and the Nagoya Castle is about a 20 minute walk.

Pros: The hotel is near 2 subway stations and a few convenience stores. It is also a short walk away from the Nagoya Science Museum, Nagoya City Art Museum, and the Nagoya Kanko Hotel (which is one of the stops of the airport limousine bus). There's coffee at the lobby, as well as a supply of branded toiletries. Wifi signal is strong and fast. Sleepwear is provided. Cons: The double room is tiny, with no space to move about. The bed is hard, the pillows are small and uncomfortable. Housekeeping did not wash the used mugs left in the room. On the last night, there was dripping from the ceiling. There was no English translation for the announcements/notices inside the elevator. The front desk staff spoke very little English (only one of them could communicate a little English, the rest couldn't). They did not reply to any of my emails prior to arrival.
