This is a very good budget accommodation in Nagoya. You will receive a lot for your money. The location is very good for the summer sumo wrestling tournament i Nagoya. You can walk to the arena in about 15 minutes. This is a typical Japanese budget room with built in plastic toilette and shower. Rooms are small but there are good WIFI and TV. The bed is typical Japanese hard bed but you will probably adjust to that over time. There is a simple Japanese breakfast included. The air-condition system worked very well. On the ground floor you will find Coin Laundry, in the lobby a copy of Japan Times is available in English version. Lawson has a shop around the corner there on can buy beer and soft drinks. Wending machines in the hotel has beer and soft drinks as well! The hotel room has a fridge so you can store your beer and soft drinks in the room.

The room that a friend and I stayed in was a double bed room (1- double bed), which was big enough for the both of us to fit comfortably. The amenities of the inn were perfect for a 3-4 day stay, and it was wonderful to have a complimentary breakfast which included rice, musubi, assorted pickles, bread, eggs, and a few other dishes. For the price of under $40 per person, per night, it is worth it to stay at a smaller hotel that gives you wonderful service. Toyoko Inn Nagoya Marunouchi also provides a free shuttle service from the hotel to the JR Station, which was very helpful when travelling with two medium/large sized suitcases. I would suggest to go to the station/line up early outside of te hotel as it is a popular hotel for travelling businessworkers who also commute to and from their events via train. Though the features of the room are a bit outdated (i.e. hairdryer in bedroom, television), each room does come with an air conditioning unit as well as a window tjat opens. Perfect for October-November when the air is cool outside and you want to enjoy the sounds of your outside surroundings. Will return to Toyoko Inn on my next visit!

The hotel is a long walk from the Marinouchi station. If you're taking heavy luggage be aware that there many steps, up and down as you walk to the exit 8. No elevator at exit 8. Rooms are comfortable with many power points. TV is only Jap with a pay per use set top box. Bathroom is noisy when you flag. It's one of those preformed plastic cubicles which I dislike. Service staff are always busy and in a rush. We had breakfast with the room and from a westerner point of view, it's lousy. Step out and turn left to the rice n pork chop place at the corner and you'll get a much better breakfast. There is a free shuttle to the train station we took it in the morning. This service ends at 10 in the morning. There is an afternoon service that starts at 5pm.

“budget business hotel”

This hotel located downtown, on 10 minutes from shopping area in nagoya. Check in was fast and efficient, less than 5 minutes to pass me room key. Room is okay, small (6m2), pillow is too hard, no more thing to complain.
