Toyoko Inn is one of the large budget hotel chains in Japan and you can expect very standardised clean descent (small) room. Bed is about 140cm wide so pretty comfortable for one and could squeeze 2. The room is quite small which just have the bed and desk and chair. No walking space. This is what you get with the price. Bathroom has body soap, shampoo and conditioner dispenser. It includes breakfast for the price. It is not definitely western style breakfast. Rice, miso soup, salad, and few different things as buffet style. Pretty good enough if you like this Asian style breakfast. (Not really traditional breakfast tho) They provide night gown but you need to pick it up at the lobby area if you need one. There is vending machines for drinks including beers and snacks too. Located right in the middle of restaurants and bars area of Nagoya. 6-7 min walk from the close metro stations. Hisaya-Odori stn is the closest station. Sakuradori line(red) or Meijo line(purple)

“Toyoko Inn Nagoya Nishiki”

A very nice hotel for a reasonable price and including breakfast. Close to subway and bus stop. Room is very clean and so with the CR. Friendly and English speaking staff. Room is not really big but it's good enough for us. Walking distance from Nagoya Castle, Nagoya TV tower and Oasis 21.

Close to two subway stations, and shopping district with many bars and restaurants. The rooms were small but well equipped. I used the ethernet cable they provide for an internet connection. It was the fastest I had yet experienced! Razors and all the other things I hadn't packed were provided free, when they would charge extra for them in Europe. The bed was firm and very comfortable. The A/C soon got the room to a comfortable temperature when it was 38 degrees (C) outside! The reception staff were helpful and spoke some English. They provided a city map in English. The breakfast buffet was included in the price, you could have toast if you didn't fancy Japanese miso soup, rice, pickles and salad. The only criticisms I had were the 4pm check in time, the instant tea sachets in the rooms were not nice and the A/C controls were hard to work out. An A/C controls instruction sheet in English would be useful. Providing tea bags would not seriously affect their marginal costs.

This Toyoko Inn appears to have been converted from a previous (less good) hotel brand to Toyoko spec leaving a few giveaways behind. The Nishiki area is very business-oriented even for Nagoya city centre, which is itself very businesslike. The beds no longer have brown blankets and flat sheets which some guest photos show, but the new Toyoko Inn white duvets, which is a great improvement. My 2nd floor room proved noisy with construction work nearby during the daytime and with boisterous young people in the evening, but it did become quiet during the critical midnight-9am rest time.The breakfast area is more familiar-looking and cosy than the Toyoko average. The free computers in the lobby are an excellent idea, but both of them were in serious need of servicing,with badly damaged keyboards, and it is obvious that the staff do not pay much attention to them or to making sure that e.g. the printer is supplied with ink. The Daily Yamazaki convenience store across the corner is extremely handy, although the Nishiki neighbourhood generally contains just about anything one could ever wish for, at rather inflated prices. Delicious Japanese-style breakfast.

“very convenient”

stayed 1 nite for a biz trip. Cozy room and very close to all the city attraction, a lots of drinking place, so much fun!! Free breads for the breakfast is also good!
