My husband and I traveled to Japan and wanted to stay in Chigasaki from October 15-26th, 2016. Unfortunately, I was unable to make a reservation on the computer before we left the US as the website said there were no reservations available. We stayed in Tsujido for 2 nights which is one JR train stop away from Chigasaki. We went to the Toyoko hotel and explained our situation and the hotel staff were very helpful. We were able to stay there from October 17 until we left on the 26th. We did have to change rooms but each room was very clean and orderly. You can store the suitcase under the bed to be out of the way. We stayed at this hotel in 2013. Although there are smoking and non smoking rooms, I didn't notice any cigarette odor this time. It is clean and modern and has all the modern amenities. If you need toiletries, toothbrush, comb, soap, etc, it is available in the lobby. It is within walking distance to the Chigasaki JR train station. Breakfast is included in the price, which is American and Japanese food. For breakfast though, meat balls, curry, chow mein, salad is offered along with the Japanese rice balls,and miso soup. Hard/soft boiled or scrambled eggs were offered, some type of little link sausage, toast, juice, coffee or tea are available. There are American fast food restaurants nearby such as McDonalds, Mr. Donut, Shakeys, and KFC. Ito Yokado and Yamada stores are close by and the train station has shops and restaurants also. One can buy a Toyoko Inn Club card to use when making reservations with the Toyoko Inns. The longer the stay, the more discounted the price for the rooms. For our 9 day stay, we paid around $795.00 USD which isn't a bad price at all for a stay in Japan. I must commend the stay as they were very helpful to accommodate us for our stay.

“Cheap business hotel in Tokyo Japan”

Stayed in this hotel end of March 2015 for two weeks. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Some English was spoken by staff on the front desk. Room was very clean and peaceful, in fact cleaning was done on a regular basis and even the quilts on the beds were cleaned and changed. I had breakfast every morning which was buffet style. I cannot eat Japanese style breakfast but there was bread for making toast and jam and soft boiled eggs. This is a business hotel within walking distance of the railway station department stores and parks. It takes 30 minutes to Yokohama and about over 1 hour to central Tokyo. It is situated in Chigasaki near the sea which is a lovely coastal town with few foreigners. The hotel has free internet and is very cheap. I paid £40 per room per night including breakfast. Some of the rooms are small but mine was a large room which was adequate. Luggage fits under the bed. It has air conditioning which I struggled with as it was all in Japanese. I believe this is a hotel chain which is all across Japan. My Japanese friend booked it for me but I think they have an English web site. Will definitely stay again.

I chose Toyoko Inn Chigasaki because of its closeness to my friends condo and the train station. Very reasonably priced, polite staff, clean and well maintained rooms and breakfast is served each morning. Everything is within walking distance from the hotel. I spent several days here and I highly recommend Toyoko Inn to budget minded travelers to Chigasaki!!!

Classic Japanese hotel chain -- amall rooms but extremely clean and well appointed. Atypical in that the price includes basic breakfast. Typical in the sense that the rules are rigid: Take care of your own baggage, check in 4 pm / check out 10 am, pay by the hour for late checkout. And no coff… more

Classic Japanese hotel chain -- amall rooms but extremely clean and well appointed. Atypical in that the price includes basic breakfast. Typical in the sense that the rules are rigid: Take care of your own baggage, check in 4 pm / check out 10 am, pay by the hour for late checkout. And no coffee or English-language TV. My recommendation to Toyoko shareholders and management is to up their game if they want to cater to international travelers.
