“Convenient and clean”

I booked a single, non-smoking room for 2 nights. Check-in was fast, although the front-desk staff do not speak very good English, we managed to communicate and they were all very polite. As I arrived in Fukuoka early in the morning, the front desk kept my luggage since I cannot check-in yet. When I return in the evening, my luggage was already delivered to my room, so I only collected my keys. The room is comfortable and bigger than some others I've stayed in Japan. I can open my luggage easily and there is still room to move around. The street right in front of the hotel entrance was very busy at night but my room is pretty quiet and I was not disturb by any noise. I felt very safe walking around the hotel area alone at night. It's just a 5 min walk to Hakata station. I will stay here again.

“Near railway station and thanks for the upgrade!”

Having been staying in a few Japanese hotels over the week, we know how small these hotel rooms are. Often the double bed is really small and usually pushed against one wall, making it inconvenient to get into bed on one side. My daughter booked a double room for Yen 10,000 and we travelled together. The receptionist, in decent English, sort of hinted that the double bed was a "small bed" so I asked if they had any twin rooms available. After checking, she came back that there was a room available but for Yen 15,000! So I had to reject it since it was 50% more. The 2 ladies checked the system and after several minutes, informed me that they can upgrade the room at no extra charge. Seemed that that day bookings were low as it was about a week before the crowd comes for the Sakura cherry blossom. They gave us the corner room which was the largest room we had throughout the whole trip. 2 twin beds with side tables on both sides, 2 lounge chairs and coffee table plus writing table. We were very delighted that our last night in Kyushu would be so much more comfortable. The hotel is really near the railway station. Come out from the East exit, turn right and walk round a couple of corners and you are there. 50m the most. They have an Italian restaurant on the ground floor which also provides breakfast for the hotel guests. But the railway station is huge and has many department stores, shops and restaurants. The good (and more expensive) restaurants have to be accessed by lifts up to level 10. You probably can find a meal to suit your taste and budget over there. The 2 lady receptionist who checked us in were friendly and helpful. They were replaced by 2 male colleagues in the evening who were pretty straight faced and not so helpful. Hotel is recommended as it is really convenient and near to the station

This is the typical business hotel in Japan where every space is maximized in the tiny rooms. The staff are cordial but do not make any effort to be warm. The lobby and the rooms lack charm and a sense of home but who needs this in a business hotel anyway. It provides comfortable sleep so would still consider staying here if I have to. The ramen shop very close to the hotel was very good though we were told that Hakata is really popular for ramen.
