Possibly a little out of the way for a first-time Tenjin tourist, however if you're familiar with the city, happy with a little walking and want something simple and fuss-free, this is hard to beat. The hotel is relatively modern, good wired and wireless internet, easy check-in and check-out. Despite being next to the Tenjin-Omuta line, train noise really wasn't a problem. Pleasant stay, would book again.

“Not too bad”

Stayed here for two nights, The room was okay nothing fancy. The only problem was this hotel was very hard to find, me and my girlfriend were walking around for about 45 minutes, right next to it but some how managed to miss it. Stayed here for two nights, The room was okay nothing fancy. The only problem was this hotel was very hard to find, me and my girlfriend were walking around for about 45 minutes, right next to it but some how managed to miss it. We ended up asking someone for directions, the person was very nice and actually brought us to his car and drove us the 5 minutes to the hotel. The worst thing was we had passed is 3 or 4 times. Staff were nice but couldn't speak any English, although not very important as managed to sort every thing out with gestures and grunts. For any one on a budget id definitely recommend this hotel cheap and in a central location. And Fukuoka is class.

I picked here because it was the absolute lowest priced double I could find in advance for Fukuoka (4800/night). Considering it was picked on price, my friend and I were pretty ecstatic about how nice it was. In our double room was in addition the the usual - a minfridge, desk, small CRT television, small table, and couch. Pros: Perfectly clean, of course. 1 minute walk to subway station, 7-11, & supermarket. McDonalds is across from subway station if you like. Larger room than I expected given the price and that it's urban Japan Great service at front desk. Great service cleaning the room. Simple style in room (budget-ish), but tasteful/cute. Cons: Though 1 min walk from the station - it's on the Nanakuma subway line - not much there for tourists. And transferring to the Kuko line requires a 5-10 minute underground walk. Some sound from nearby elevated train tracks. But not very loud. Only enough to bother a very light sleeper. My earlier review complains of a Thai *side street* and the noise from cars there. I'm not immune, just the commuter trains are quite and the insulation decent. We didn't notice the noise except initially. Later it's quite enough one doesn't notice it unless looking for it. Centrally-controlled climate control. You turn it on or off, no selection as to your room's particular temperature. Overall, we were very impressed. *Especially* as it was picked via lowest price only. Hidden gem? I'm unsure. More comfortable/nice than a gem, but for the price - possibly.
