Great place to stay as a couple. The rooms are quite small, but to be expected in Japan. The staff here were very welcoming and friendly, they spoke great English. “Great Place”
We had a wonderful stay at KOKO Hotel Takayama. Clean, comfortable rooms, excellent staff, and a lovely onsen that is tattoo-friendly. The location is ideal for exploring Takayama, with easy access to transport and local sights. A perfect base for the area — highly recommend.

A beautiful hotel. Conveniently located not too far from Takayama Station or the Old Town. A small onsen (an onsen tax of 150 yen per person) but it was clean and good facilities. It’s a pleasant hotel and our room was in good order and well equipped. The big downside was the size of our room. We had to store our medium size suitcases under the bed - they would just fit.
