“Travelling around Japan and another Onsen experience”
Excellent Facilities. Really appreciate the English spoken by some Staff. All Staff were lovely. We would like to give a big shout-out to Sophia. Really nice table service. The food was delicious. We stayed in a room with a private Onsen.

“Incredible - the full package”
We had an incredible time at Kashiwaya Ryokan and in Shima Onsen. The staff were incredible - welcoming, friendly, attentive and skilled. The private onsens were so beautifully designed and tranquil. “A Perfect Place to Relax for a Weekend”
The area is nice and quiet, beautiful scenery, comfortable rooms, and amazing food. I definitely recommend taking the walking tour with Masuo-san, it's a great way to see the town and get some history.

“A perfect Onsen experience”
A relaxing hot springs visit and a delicious dining experience. We stayed two nights to enjoy the private hot springs several times. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating.

“Nice weekend getaway”
As a solo traveller the staff were very accommodating and super friendly! The private onsens were amazing too. If I was with others I would recommend staying longer than 1 night but the bus timings give you time to explore the area in a 1 night stay necessary. Overall, highly recommend.
